The pics weren't all that necessary.. I was able to get the stock mirror off and run the wiring for the Gentex 453 pretty easily.

The stock mirror comes off as described. The A-Pillar comes off easily too - just grab the top and pull, it will come loose. Find the middle clip which is hooked in the pillar, turn the plastic ribbon 90 degrees with needle nose pliers to release it. Then, just pull the pillar up and out and it will come right out. From there you can just run the wiring down to the fuse box and tuck under the headliner and you are good to go!

The plastic finisher I got from Nissan appears to be generic and adjustable, I think you might as well buy a wiring kit off ebay that comes with the finisher.

Good luck!

you can tuck the wire behind the a-pillar cover without removing it. just pull down the weather stripping on the door jam side.
makes your job go much faster.

i didnt unplug the battery either when i did the install. actually, i rarely remove the battery wire ground these days unless im working on the airbag.

here, i even mentioned this 4yrs ago..lol

the only picture i needed was the one Mike posted how he tapped the wires on one of the DIY threads.

I ended up using a couple of those fused add-a-circuit taps to tap the fuse block. Used the "BOSE AMP" circuit for 12V Constant and "CIGAR LIGHTER" for 12V switched. The "BOSE AMP" circuit was there with a 20A fuse even though I have a base... and I assume "CIGAR LIGHTER" is the power port in the passenger foot well.

Installed!
