Connector part numbers

My search didn't turn up anything helpful, so I'll ask here: I'd like to make a harness for one of the connectors on the Z for a project, but I have no idea how to find connector part numbers. I have the FSM, and I see what look like part numbers in the "Connector Type" field, but searching for that doesn't get me much.

In the last post in this thread about installing autodim mirrors, the poster lists the exact JST connector part numbers, which are then found on Ebay and Digikey. I would like to find this information for other connectors in the FSM.

Any ideas how he made that translation?

I can't remember exactly how, but have seen this info before floating around the board.

I think phunk (Charles@CJM) knows how to hunt this stuff down... (though he kind of knows how to do everything)

I'd like to know also, as I far prefer to make connectable harnesses instead of butchering the OEM harness.

When I needed to repair a seat harness connector on my 2017, I couldn't find the part number referenced anywhere either. However, I did have 100% success here: NissanTechMate.com

Thanks, that's a good resource, but it doesn't seem to have all the connectors in the FSM. There has to be some decoder ring to go from FSM connector type to something like a Digicel part number.

I believe I read the information either on a Navara Forum or on one of the UK 370Z Forums. The info was 100% accurate and I was able to buy the parts from Ebay.

The FSM will have a standardized identifier at the top of the pin-out tables. I forget the format of the ID but it includes shape, number of pins, etc (I don't have an FSM handy or I could give more details). Plug the ID into your favorite search engine.

If nothing shows up, it's probably a proprietary connector and you will need to search online Nissan parts vendors such as Courtesy Parts.
