So, Dave and I made the printed battery hold down/spacer for the Odessey PC 680 battery and I ran it all year long.

Thread here:

These are available to purchase here:

Various colors and materials are available too!

Now that it is 32 degrees outside, racing is over, since the track is closed due to weather, the 370 has set for two weeks and now it wont start on the PC 680.

We had printed a spacer and hold down for the Optima Red Top and Yellow Top Batteries printed previously and laying on the bench. This one is Red PLA material at 20% fill.

So, now is the time to install it.....

The base of the Optima battery has a plastic rectangle shape, and it fit inside the locating blocks of the spacer perfectly.

The spacer also fit the existing 370Z battery tray very well...

Now, I just have to heave that heavy azz yellow top into the car...

I checked all the fitment around the base of the battery and it fits like a glove.

Next, I installed the upper and lower hold down straps into the factory J-bolts and tighten the nuts just snug.

The factory cables locate on the yellow top battery posts, just like when it had the factory battery in the car.

Next, I install the black plastic surround and make sure there is no interference between the battery top and the black plastic surround.

Battery is now properly positioned in the car, and the 3D printed parts are holding the battery solid as a rock.
