fog light questions 13+

hi all i have done a lot of research on the forum for this and it seems there are mixed thoughts. i am wanting to take apart my fog lights to paint the crome black so that it matches my headlights. any information on this would be greatly appreciated. only had the car a month and am loving it.

Are you talking about your drl's? If so, they have to be cut open.

I don't think this is true, though it has been parroted around the forum. I cant remember who, but an older member on here did it and he opened them using an oven just as he did his headlights.

Can not confirm though, as I have not attempted this myself.

I had my drl's modded by a reputable company (Yunique LED) and he had to cut mine open.
