HardWire for Invisicord MirrorWire (Escort Radar)

I know there are other DIY or posts about this but they are all outdated and can't seem to answer what I need... :/
I bought the blend mount and invisicord (black/red ends) to install but i'm at a stand still. I read about how to do it, but like some, without pics I'm clueless on these type of things.
I have a 2014 sports/touring Z with the built in rear view camera on the rear view mirror. Will this change how I can install the wire? Whoever has installed it, do you have any pics on how to take off the cap of the power mirror and where to place the wires?

Thanks in Advance!:happydance:

I got your PM.

Unfortunately my car is under the cover in storage for the winter. I guess I can climb under there if you need a picture.

I used one of the DIY here. But I can not find it. You need to pull out the plug in harness to the mirror and then the wiring for the mirror is:

black/red - switched power
yellow - always on power
black - ground

so plug the yellow wire of the invisicord into the harness where the black/red wire is. Plug the black invisicord into the harness where the black wire is. Plug back in the harness and you are done!

If you have a 2014 and up, its black/red, black/white and black/yellow wires.

Black invisicord goes to black/white, red goes to black red.

Maybe this video will help.

Thanks! I'll have to take a look at it tomorrow or Friday when I attempt it lol
Yea, the invisicord that I purchased only has a red and black tip, no yellow :/

Right. Mine was the same, so then it is Black invisicord goes to black/white on the mirror harness, red goes to black/red on the harness. Your harness should be the same as mine.

Yellow inviscord wire is the same as red.

Don't you have the 2014 service manual?
The wiring diagrams are in there with the proper color codes.

I suggest you find the free downloads site and then get to work.
