DIY:Navigation System Install to a Non Navigation Z Project

4 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone i have struggled around for some good instructions regarding the installation of a navigation system to a non Navi vehicle with poor results
So ill start this Project so everyone could follow me and help me complete this tast so we can create a nice Thread on how to archive it step by step.
Btw my Z is a 2011 no Navigation with Bose Sound

Alright Today i bough a 2009 navigation system it seemed complete at first but this guy forgot to add the GPS antenna and the basic cable from the unit to display so ill have to wait till he sends me the missing parts, and maybe some more cabling behind the unit .

At first everything was a fit ,plugged all the Unit cable and the unit seems to react, good sign so i guess it will work sadly i still dont have the cable to the display to test it out for sure
The Problem i realized is that the Climate control and after some more research found out that the normal non Navi climate control communicates Direct though the Navi Communicates through Can bus .... good thing he sendet me the A/C Auto Amp from the Navi one as well otherwise it is not compatible you need to have it as well as far as i can see ...Please correct me if i am wrong :)

The Tricky part begins now :/
Ill have to convert ,somehow rewire the plugs from the Climate control to the AC Controller the Navi version has a bigger plug though the non Navi a smaller one , i found out some Wiring Diagrams that may help out , but ill have to wait till i get the rest of the stuff needed .

If someone has any knowledge on how to do it will save some time will be really appreciated :)

So ill post my process as soon as i get the parts

Hi, I have been wanting to do the same mod but didnt find any information anywhere. Did you manage to get everything installed and working? would really like to try this but worried about the electrical complexity.

It does work for GTR, or non navi Infiniti and should be for 370z https://gtrtech.blogspot.lt/2015/01/...avigation.html
I could be do conversion harness . But one notice !- Used Euro type 2010+ AV navigation unit can't to be reused , as it locked for one vehicle . ( I have solution for that ) !
