Change hids

Aloha everyone. This question is do you have to take off the headlights to change the hids and the front blinker? Any info will be appreciated

Yes, you do. You need to remove the front bumper and the headlights to replace them.

well the front blinker is part of the same assembly. confusing question.

maybe "do you have to remove the whole headlight assembly to change the bulbs?" and "what's required to remove the headlight assembly?"

:twocents:

No,..

At least from what I've read in the threads,..I dont think the manufacturer would make a car that would require one to take the headlight and bumper off to change bulbs...

Bulbs can be accessed thru the fender by turning your wheel to the extreme right (driver side), and left (passanger). Then unscrew the bolt to take the fender liner off to access the back of the headlight covers and turn signals...Twist to take off bulbs and retaining clip for the DS2 bulb...

Can you change the bulb to a higher temperature without changing the ballast?

and yes to your answer as long as you use DS2 bulbs, 6k should be the max any higher and visibility starts to be affected, it may look cool at 8k but not practical.
