Mirror Tap solution

Several have posted problems in getting MirrorTap to work with their Z's and a few seem to have had no problems at all.

I tried buying a MT kit from CarToys (they were open and I was impatient). They had one kit in the store, and said that it would fit the 370z. But I had problems installing it. I just couldn't get the pins to seat properly. I ended up taking it back.

This was the solution that worked for me. I re-purchased the MT-3009 kit (from BlendMount), but this time I asked for the .040" pins. Worked like a champ! Inserted easily, yet securely.

There are 3 wires going into my 2010 Z roadster mirror molex. MT-red goes into Z's-black/red, MT-black goes into Z's black/white.

Hope this helps.

Yup....Nissans require the tap with the thinner pins.

I had the same issue, however, pulling the pins in and out gave me enough wiggle room for them to seat properly.

i use one too, but these things are so lame imo... such a halfarsed way to wire up electronics.. :ugh:
