3M Paint Defender

What's everyone's thought on this new product? Looks pretty promising.

The spray on clear bra?

Cmike2780 04-29-2013 07:41 PM

I was going to try it out on my Civic before trying it on the Z.

This? Hadn't heard of it until now, but it does look intriguing. Unfortunately there aren't any Amazon reviews yet.

Yeah, that's it. To new for reviews, but looks to good to be true. Can it really be that simple.

I'd like to know how long this will last. Sorta looks like the plastidip thing

JARblue 04-29-2013 08:09 PM

My front bumper is jacked. I might just get some Dr. Colorchip for it and then try out this product

The video says it will protect for about a year

Zchaser 04-29-2013 08:19 PM

I wouldn't have a problem reapplying each year..like after a good wax and clay bar.

Interesting. If removal is easy it would be nice for long road trips.

cheshirecat 04-30-2013 09:27 AM

Yep- seems like clear plasti-dip.

Seems to be basically zero actual detailer reviews of it so far....

And better looking. I'd be interested in seeing exactly how easy it is to remove.

i just feel like the rest of the people in here thats its just a clear plastidip kind of thing. i am interested in trying it since after my failed tape experiment for me tune trip i have given up on that for zdayz lol

i got touch up paint from nissan i rather spend 3 seconds to do that on a chip than waste a hour or two taping my car lol

May I recommend Dr. Colorchip over Nissan's touchup. Touch up paint is difficult to apply cleanly. Dr. Colorchip comes out 100x better, usually.
