brake fluid on clear coat... how to clean?
Just recently got all 4 of my calipers replaced under warranty due to them being stained from brake fluid (previous owner probably tracked it). See thread:
http://www.the370z.com/brakes-suspen...tuff-them.html anyway, I am going to be changing my brake fluid now and I want to know if any leaks from the bleeder valves, what can I rinse it with to make sure it doesn't stain the clear coat of the calipers again? |
water. brake fluid is hygroscopic, it will run from the water. just don't let the fluid linger on the caliper and it will be fine.

yes. the water displaces the fluid. you can spray some simple green or something first, but its not really necessary.

Oh dear... Wash it off quickly as it eats paint!
