best product to clean up headlight scratches?

scratches pretty deep

Have you polished?

TreeSemdyZee 07-21-2012 09:28 AM

Depends on how deep. If you can't polish them out, do just like you would for paint scratches. Wet sand, then polish.

ok 3000grit sounds good?

Try this first before sandpaper (I always start with the less aggressive, then work my way up if necessary). Works pretty well:

Start wetsanding with 1000-1200 grit pads, then go to 3000. Then wax, buff, and apply a uv protectant.

ok when i polish should i use a pad or my 6 inch pc cuz i think the pc is way too big

Ubetit 07-21-2012 08:59 PM

Rotary with a 4 inch pad does wonders. I haven't needed to sand any headlights.

I have a 3 inch kit that I use. 4 is alright.
