Quick question! I don't have $70 to spend on a foam gun right now, do you guys think this one would be a decent substitute? $18 at target.

It's only $18...why not just give it a try?

Huck 06-08-2012 02:38 PM

I'm cheap, don't want to waste $18 right now until I get a job.

I'm cheap too. I fill up a dollar store $1 spray bottle with water and add two caps of Zaino car wash. I shake the crap outta the bottle and then spray... "foam"!

Huck 06-08-2012 06:28 PM

Hahahaha nice :rofl2:

I have one of these for my car and it seems to be working out. It really foams it up. You go through about 3 canisters worth of soap. I use Meguiar's Gold Class.

Get this thing:

Perfect for washing a car. Not really for power washing as the reviews will agree.

I have that same gun. (the one the OP posted) I think it works great for the price. The car doesn't really get foamed up, but it does do a pretty decent job. I really like it because when the car is really dirty, I'll foam it over once and wash off with the gun, and then foam again right before I wash. I use Adam's car wash and it seems to foam up a little more then other stuff. Its not perfect, but i'm sure it helps a ton.

I don't understand what's so good about a foam gun. Just spray on and rinse off?

Foam up with a quality soap and then wash the same way you would as if the foam wasnt there. Helps soften dirty and also act like a lubricating agent so you don't scratch as youre cleaning.

I have one, but mainly use it to clean the exterior of my house. Thinking about using it on the car now as well...In general works well...But it does not foam. It only delivers a soapy water mix

SmallermouseZ 06-19-2012 09:58 AM

where to buy a cheap foam gun?
