Well, buff them out or if they're too deep you can wet sand them.

EazyD 04-21-2012 12:12 PM

bodyshop ($200) or detailer will help you

Three scratches ???

As a leading forensic scientist in my mind, and a cat owner, it may be a mark from a cat paw...Where the cat jumped up on the car ???

Where did it happen ? Home or work ?

Baer383 04-21-2012 12:38 PM

I would trade it in on a Miata.:roflpuke2:

GrooveStyle 04-21-2012 01:00 PM

Did you try buffing them out etc? Sometimes when dealers pull off the plastic that is put on by the factory for transport, it leaves residue that kinda looks like scratches, but comes right off...

LakeShow 04-21-2012 01:07 PM

Take a chainsaw and cut the roof off.

Good Deal..

I have such OCD, haha, that our two cars are in the garage under double covers.

The cats sleep on them all the time...Yes, i know, double covers, double the dork in me...

But with two black cars and three white cats...and OCD and Anal to a fault...That is what i do..

kenchan 04-21-2012 04:38 PM

First day I owned my car I parked it in my brothers garage. Well he has two cats, one was hiding in the garage. I came out to find the cat sleeping on the car with cat foot prints all over it :( needless to say i d id not frighten the cat off the car but ratehr very gently walked up to her and moved her haha.

As a leading forensic scientist in MY mind I think its much more likely these were baby polar bear marks..or a wild pterodactyl..

But pterodactyl scratches are easy to buff out....but a bite from a tyrannosaurus rex.:( .that is a whole different matter..,.hope it never happens to you..

One of the reasons I hate cats.

Z11 04-22-2012 11:39 AM

no cats, its in a garage, ill get pics today, sand and buff? its incredibly small. maybe ill get touch up paint

happytheman 04-22-2012 12:35 PM

If its superficial and just the clear coat, no touch up paint is required.

If it is keeping you up at night just bring it to a local detail shop and or body shop and let them wetsand/blend/whatever to the scratches if needed. Id pay at least $500 for a better nights sleep!:P

Z11 04-23-2012 04:21 PM
