Clear bra installed today.

Had a clear bra installed today by Clear-Pro in Murietta, CA. 3M Venture Shield was used for full hood, partial fenders, mirrors, headlights, and front bumper/grill. They did an amazing job and I finally feel at ease driving in all kinds of traffic on the highway. Now I'll just have to keep an eye on it to see how well it holds up, but at this point I'm not worried.

They will come to your location (within reason) if you request it, but I decided to drive from San Diego to Murietta to let them do it in their shop.

Mind if I ask what that cost you?

The original quote was $975 (or $650 with partial hood instead of full hood). A little bit of dealing got it down to $900 complete, cash payment.

If they come to you it might be an extra $45 or so.

Do you mind if I ask who did the work for you?

I need to do it ... the "love bugs" in Fl can be wretched, and actually eat into your paint...

Grats on getting it done.

I hadn't priced it yet... jeesh.. I was thinking more like 2-300 for the nose only... oh well..so be it!

Nice! Like you, I felt much more comfortable driving on the highways after getting this done. My last car looked like it had a skin condition from all the rock chips on the hood and bumper.

I should also add that the VentureShield is holding up great so far. It would be hard to see yellowing on the black paint but since my headlights were also covered I can say definitively that after 1.5 years there is absolutely zero yellowing. My car is in the sun at work and school all day.

I had 3M Ventureshield on my 350z for 5 years and it looked just as good from Day 1 until the last day i sold it!

Did my wifes new Sonata with Ventureshield here 6 months ago and still looks perfect>!

I got a quote at the place here in South Carolina to do an entire 370Z for around $2200.. Very cheap if i go with the Black then im going that route. Then it will never have a scratch, rock chip or any flaw :)

I always get a kick out of people that say for that price i could just get stuff re-painted! The difference is from Day 1 until 7+years later the car will look brand new.

Paint for bumper, fenders, sideskirts, part of doors, rear quarter panel, hood and whatever else gets rock chips would cost well over 2200 bucks for a good paint job...

CLEAR BRA ROCKS!!
