black interior scratch removal?
I found this after looking for ways to get rid of scratches. Sharpies just don't work that well--it's too glossy. Shoe polish is too black.
What do you think? interior scratch repair Quote:

Interesting, so with some shoe polish and leather conditioner you have a scratch remover. Did the guy who post this post any pics of before after process and how long this was durable?
|
Couldn't find any. Supposedly this type of polish is more permanent? I looked it up and it doesn't seem that expensive. Our "Nissan black" is more of a really, really dark gray, so I wonder how far it is from Audi. I haven't been in an Audi in years.

Hmm interesting, would def like to see pics if he had any to be more convinced that this would work, don't wanna go rubbing shoe polish on the interior of my Z and find out it rubs off everywhere. :icon17:

anybody try this yet? I just put a superficial scratch on my dashboard taking a box to the post office. When I was putting it in the car, it wouldnt fit easily and I thought, well maybe I should take my other car so I dont scratch the dash. Well, I jammed it into the car anyways and now Im kicking myself.
so i am looking for a way to fix it, but i dont want to make it worse in the process. |
Ive got scratches under the E brake that annoy me..

I've had great success with another method. I use a damp scratch free scotch brite pad and some simple green and I run it over the scratch and this seems to remove the scratch and make it pretty much go away. You have to scrub it good for a while, in a circular and random motion over the scrach, just do it for a bit and check your progress and see how it goes. Doesn't seem to mess up the tectured surface.

Get some 303 from Amazon and it'll hide the white parts of the scratch by turning them black. Not a scratch remover but a scratch hider. You could also give plastic X from Meguiars out.
