Scratched wheel
 

Today I discovered a pretty deep scratch in one of my sport package 19" wheels (stock), and it shows up as black; dirt inside I guess, although it is less than two weeks old, considering the last time I washed it. I haven't driven it all that much during those two weeks either - a weekender.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that I can make it a lot better with the "ball point pen" end of a touchup paint applicator, if I knew the correct color. Does anyone know what comes closest to the color of these wheels?

Man, that sucks... I wish I could help out more... honestly your best bet might be to get just some clear coat and use a toothpick to fill the scratch.. but do SMALL amounts of clear at a time... once it gets above the rest of the clear, get a pencil with a normal eraser on it... cut out a small piece of 2000 grit to match the size of the eraser and then LIGHTLY sand until it's even with the wheel. Let each coat dry for 24-48 hours... it will take some time, but I don't think you'll even notice it afterward... you'll have to use a little polishing compound such as Meguiars 105 with a MF towel.. and just do a little, wipe it off, back and forth until it's shiny again.

I don't think you can really "match" the color because it's just polished aluminum with clearcoat over it. I hope this helps.
