Detailing products

Pardon if this is the wrong forum, I was unsure where to post it.

I have been getting more and more into detailing my own cars, and need some advice on products. What shampoos, claybars, waxes, and anything else do you use? Is Mothers pretty much the way to go? I am planning on adding ClearBra to the Z, will that change how I detail it?

Thanks,

Personally all my products are Meguiar's ranging from car wash, wax, claybar, dual-action polisher, etc.

Thanks to the moderator for moving this, I had seen the "Exterior & Interior" forum and somehow only thought of it as "Interior"... :o

Here's what I use:
Autoglym soap & glass polish, Zymol HD Cleanse (prior to wax), Zymol Concours wax. Jet seal on the wheels.

Meguiars quick detailer, interior detailer, & leather care.

Zymol also makes a wax for Japanese cars which is a lot cheaper, never tried it though.

Hi Musashi,

I had never heard of Zymol until I read your post. Ironically, it was right after I watched this video, where Paul Dalton uses this very product!

Thanks for turning me on to it, I am going to do some research on Zymol. Do you have any particulars in why you use them over other products? Meaning, can you tell the difference, or is it simply because of the fame?

Try Zymol's Solaris Glaze. Your Z will double in value every time you put it on!!!

Be Careful, it can be a compulsion

Thanks,

I've got hooked on detailing cars and found the best site to order from is autogeek.net. They have a lot of information and "how to's" for many aspects of detailing. I've been very happy with their products and use primarily Wolfgang branded stuff. But be careful, this can become a compulsion just like cars. Hope this helps and try not to spend to much $$.
