washing the car
 

I've been reading alot about how to properly wash your car without scratching the paint and although I would love in the future to do it junkman style, i'm not ready yet to spend 400-500$ to wash it. Would this be a decent way to wash?

1) rinse
2) using the 2 bucket system w/ grit guards and a adam's wash pads(1 for car, 1 for tires) soap/wash the car
3) use the pooling technique to get rid of excess water.. use cheap leaf blower to dry as much and finish up with a waffle drying tower
4) wax the car with adams buttery wax?(not sure which wax I should be looking at)

what should I be using to clean tires/wheel well/detailing the plastic trim?

First off, $400-$500 is enough money to do way more than just wash the car. That will get you the entire paint correction kit along with everything you need to maintain your paint. Most of that stuff is a one time purchase. Or, you won't need to replace anything soon if you use it correctly. Most novices waste more product than necessary.

I want you to check out my wash series, as I don't think that you have seen this series. There may be things that you are willing to revise that are not expensive at all (like 2 wash mitts for the car and none for the wheels and tires). You can use some other stuff for those, unless they are painted and clear coated. Then, let me see your process again.
