Is it just me or does the rear bumper get really dirty easily?

Had my PW Z for a 6 days and been wiping the car down everyday and given it 2 car washes since. I've noticed that the rear bumper is always noticeably dirtier than the rest of the car. What is a viable reason for this?
Secondly, I don't know why but water sprayed from the wheels (driven over melted ice) gets onto the body panels behind them very easily (and of course has to be dirty black water). I'm not running wide tires so the tires don't stick out the wheel well, and I have splash guards.
Anyone else facing this inconvenience?

drove my PW around the melting-snow-dirt-nasty-streets the past couple of days and I yeah it gets real dirty. It likely has to do with (1) people driving in front of you spraying the stuff in the air (2) the stuff in the air getting caught behind your car in an aerodynamic vaccuum, and (3) when you turn your front tires, no amount of splash guard is going to save the sides of your car :)

Same here. Got a black Z. common issue.
I do a hand wash each weekend.. make sure all contaminants are washed away.. apply a good detailer wax so nothing gets caked in the paint.

It's simple aerodynamics. All the dirt and grime that you run over on the road gets kicked up and flows up against the rear of the car and usually sticks. This happens on all cars. If you have a black or white car (or any other color that shows dirt easily) it's especially noticeable.

Keep a good coat of wax or polymer on there for easier cleaning.

thanks people. makes a lot of sense.
i've been wiping down the car just about everyday and avoiding puddles and wet areas. i have tree branches that hover over my driveway that has been plaguing my cars with bird ******** on them for years. maybe on my old honda but i'm crossing the line on the z. i already have a spot on the roof and spoiler where the clearcoat is ruined. goddamn pigeons **** on nothing but our cars.

Ah yeah, bird crap is dangerous for the Nissan clear. You have to get to it pretty much within 5 minutes otherwise it will etch and eventually eat through the clear and start to destroy the paint. It's so soft. :(

if i read this right, a thick coat of wax will protect the clearcoat from bird shiiet. i'm thinking it'll be like a secondary coating.
i'm not really knowledgeable in this area since all i did to the old honda was 10 min car washes in the driveway and that was that.
