3 Attachment(s)
It started off a normalI wash up, drive to work and after I take my bag out of my passenger side and close the door and there it was... I was confronted with this image..
Attachment 23514

I just stood there for a minute, thinking where da hell, who da hell and why da hell anyone would do this.... @#$!@#$%!@#@#!$%#$%^... frustrated and still in shock, i gather myself and walk towards the front to see if this poor excuse for a do****bag might've went further.. then i found this...
Attachment 23515

More furious, I quickly went to the rear of the car and found this..
Attachment 23516

WTF!!!!!!!
This f***bag had the audacity to start from the rear, scrape the sh*t out of my side AND finish it off in the front.. OMFG!!@#$@^&*$%@#$
I'm calm most of the time and I am thought of being a nice guy, but the thoughts that flooded my mind of what i'll do to this ahole was far from what I'm perceived to be. OOooOOoOooo the things I want to do to this f******* pr***!!!

*sigh*

A few questions in regards to this:

-- Are there any shops that can help me out with a deal?
-- Anyone know about how much it will cost to repaint the whole car with the factory paint? It's a MB..

I just had to vent...

Whoever can help me, please let me know.
I thank you in advance!

you do not need to repaint the whole car. Any trusted local shop can fix this.

Prosport Gauges 02-10-2011 03:04 PM

check out what Junkman did to this keyed job http://www.the370z.com/detailing-was...paint-job.html

cptspeed 02-10-2011 03:05 PM

My worst nightmare.

mick 02-10-2011 03:08 PM

that guy must either envy people who drive a 370z, or have a grudge against you, or both :(

you dont need to repaint the whole car...just where the scratches are front fend, rear bumper and the door. they look deep so ur prob gonna need to paint it.

Rui Z 02-10-2011 03:20 PM

I feel like we should subject these D-bags to 1 minute/(keyed panel) of tasing when caught.

I need to look up the exact price, but I think I got half my car repainted for about $3000. I took it to Cerritos Nissan Collision Center. DJ did a good job on my Z. They have a lifetime warranty on the paint.

Here's a link to a few other places in SoCal

http://www.the370z.com/southern-cali...ne-so-cal.html

Good Luck and Fu*k the D-bags!!!

Prosport Gauges 02-10-2011 03:22 PM

Trust me, no need to repaint the whole car lol

Make sure if you go to a shop there Blue Ribbon Cert. Because they will Promise the work for pretty much life of the car.

Call you insurance company and explain to them what happened. make sure they dont A: raise your rate, B: send you to a bad place. Most insurance companies let you pick the shop.

Waiz 02-10-2011 03:27 PM

Haters

Don't worry, karma is a bishhh

flashburn 02-10-2011 03:52 PM

Sucks man, I'd be so upset too if that happened. Depending on the price, you might want to go through your insurance company instead if your deductible is low enough to warrant it.

Shittiest thing would be to get it repaired only to have some ******* (the same?) do it again.

thanks.. so i have to go through insurance, huh?
dammit!! my deductible's $1k.. Well, if ruiZ paid $3k for half body paint job, it saves me a lot of money.. but shiet!!! i was going to get a CBE.. i guess that has to wait... F**K!!!!!!

Jordo! 02-10-2011 03:55 PM

If it's gonna cost more than your deductable, go through your insurance. Pretty sure vandalism will be covered.

kjay82 02-10-2011 03:55 PM

thanks for all the input guys... very much appreciated!

m4a1mustang 02-10-2011 03:56 PM

Dude that's terrible. :shakes head:

Fixed.

christian370z 02-10-2011 06:33 PM

It looks like you could wetsand and polish most of the scratch on the front fender to the point where it is not noticeable or even removed completely. The rest looks like it is either on bare metal or to the primer, that f'ing sucks man. :(

wheee! 02-10-2011 06:40 PM

was probably a Mustang owner. They are known to be deviants.....

CERBERUSlucid 02-10-2011 06:47 PM

Super Tanooki 02-10-2011 06:50 PM

I really feel for you man. Someone hit my previous car, leaving a big dent in the driver side door, and just drove off. I would have destroyed whoever did it if I found out.

I prey every time I park that it doesn't happen to my precious Z. Good luck on the repairs man. You'll feel much better when it's back to good as new.

Sexual deviants maybe, but we don't do this kind of ****! I hope not, anyways. You have to be a really, really terrible person to be able to bring yourself to deface someone's hard-earned property. :shakes head:

toner123 02-10-2011 07:22 PM

my girl works for geico and I just called her about this. Her reply was no insurance company is allowed to raise your rates for comprehensive which is where vandalism falls under. I am unsure of your insurance company but she said geico will let you pic your shop of choice. How it would work is call your insurance company as soon as possible since comprehension requires you to report the damage as soon as you notice it. At that point they will ask you to get a estimate and to fax/email to the claims department. Once they receive the estimate they will authorize you to take it to the shop and a local adjuster will go examine the damage. Reason mainly for that she said is so they can negotiate price with shop. Make sure the body shop does not try to lower the quality of work to lower the price to the adjuster she said. once the work is approved they will require you to pay your deductible and you will be all set from there. She said also don't be alarmed if the adjuster wants to look at the car before you can pick it up because they had issues with people claiming comprehensive and installing aftermarket parts to have them painted, since they will only cover the car in factory form unless you let them know of any modifications. Let me know if you have any other questions because I will ask her

dad 02-10-2011 09:44 PM

Except for the fact that they don't need to give any reason for raising your rates. If you have a $500 deductible, I would just pay it out of pocket unless the damage is around $1000 or more.

Econ 02-11-2011 07:55 AM

I literally just changed my comprehensive deductable from $1000 to $250 because of this thread....

Suprisingly my premium only went up $40 (per 6 month period)

Well worth it I think...

spearfish25 02-11-2011 09:06 AM

This is good reason for citizens to look out for one another. If I ever saw someone keying another person's car, I'd confront them and grind their face in a puddle while I called the police. Envy doesn't do this...it's jealousy with a personality flaw if it's done cold turkey (unprovoked). I'm envious of plenty of cars I see. And if I'm really envious, I'll leave a note under a wiper blade saying 'great car' or something to that end. The other possibility is you pissed someone off, parked, and then walked away. Poorly adjusted individuals could retaliate for a horn honk or a parking space steal with this type of passive aggressive behavior.

Oh, I'd still get the CBE too. They're just scratches. I know it's terrible, but your car still performs the same, drives the same, etc etc. Get the CBE, enjoy it, and let insurance clear up this mess. Otherwise, get a panel fixed here and there and know you'll have her back at 100% eventually. I'd hate to miss fun mods for this type of BS.
