What to do before clearbra?

The car has never been clayed, polished or waxed after the dealer has had it.. And plus it will be on a 13xx mile trip to Texas on most likely an open trailer.. The first thing I plan on doing to the car is clearbra-ing?

If i clearbra it will the installer clean and clay the car? Or will I have to? If so what should I do and what should I not do? I dont think I can wax the car before a clearbra..

just clean the bumper with soap and water. no wax on the bumper.
I'm sure the installer will properly clean the bumper before the install.

When I had mine installed they clayed it first and it was included in the price.

You are going to want to make sure that there are no swirl marks or scratches in the paint as once you apply the clear bra, whatever is underneath will be visible until you remove the clear bra.

I was going to initially have a mobile detailer come and detail it before the clear bra installer installs it.. But i might do it myself. So a polish is okay before I get the clearbra is installed, just not wax, right?

Yes, you should only use a mild polish and do not apply wax as it will have to be removed prior to installation. Wax could interfere with the clear bra adhering to the paint.

Exactly. You shouldn't have to do anything. The price should include the installer removing all swirls and contaminates from the paint before they install the bra. Any professional place will do this. If they don't, you should not be dealing with them.

Instead of asking the forum, you should be calling them to make sure.
