I asked this in your Wheel Cleaner thread but I guess you didn't see it.

Do you have a decent but cheap Leather Conditioner/Cleaner? I don't need much, just something for cleaning the steering wheel, I don't have leather seats.

DetailersDomain 09-11-2010 10:15 AM

You can pick up Sonax Leather Foam its a cleaner /conditioner in one.

Spray on a microfiber towel and wipe.

I have a question for you. I parked my car under a Walnut tree, and some debris fell on my hood and roof. I immediately ( within 30 minutes) washed the car, and it left behind dark spots where the debris was. I scrubbed with my mirco fiber spounge but no luck. Any Idea what product woudl get this out? I have meguirs Meduim cutter, Meguirs Fine compund, Meguires Ultimate compound and Meguires show polish. I would rather know what would be best to use prior to just going at it.

Hey Phil, great to see you here. I've purchased from Phil and always like what I get!

Check this out for one of Phil's connects: Layering Glanz Wax

Also, Phil does custom clear bra installs.

DetailersDomain 09-14-2010 11:58 PM

thanks!

SoCal 370Z 09-15-2010 09:22 AM

Phil,

The big question...have you detailed a 370Z, and what were your findings and hints that you can tell us? Thanks.

DetailersDomain 09-15-2010 09:30 AM

no sir not yet

SoCal 370Z 09-15-2010 09:37 AM

If I lived in your area I would bring one in for you to detail. The 370Z's paint is a subject of many a thread here because it chips easily and it's soft. Different colors, different results. Also, the paint does change hues on the lighter colored plastics parts over time. I hope someone here does have their 370Z done by you. I know you are not inexpensive, but I've seen so many of your photo essays that there is no doubt you're worth it. The ideal situation would be someone with a new 370Z who also does both the detail and clear bra just after buying it.

Phil,

What polish/wax products to your recommend for a silver Z that is less then a year old?

I saw your post regarding 1Z einszett Glanz and saw that you used Menzerna on the GTR.

I need to remove some swirls similar to the GTR but am looking for a good maintenance combo after removing them.

DetailersDomain 09-16-2010 11:29 AM

do you have a porter cable or a flex orbital?

Yeah I have a Porter Cable

DetailersDomain 09-17-2010 07:54 AM

Here are a few kits
http://www.detailersdomain.com/theco...na16ozkit.aspx

http://www.detailersdomain.com/theub...gcombokit.aspx

It would just depend on how bad the paint is.

I would recommend these Uber Pads

Yellow (for cut)
Orange(for med cut)
Green (med/polish)
Blue (final polish)
Black (wax)

for the last step for protection any of the below will give you great results

einszett Glanz
Menzerna Power Lock

Clay bar kit

you will want to

Wash --> Clay --> Polish (1 or 2 steps) ---> Protect.

jayhuffdaddy 11-04-2010 06:42 PM

Anyone know if it's safe to use a clay bar on a clear bra?

FERRARI 11-04-2010 07:01 PM

What is the best product to use to make the engine compartment look new and clean?
