Adam's Products, WOW

Today was the day to try my new Car Wash Trio. All I can say is WOW. This stuff is great!!! It is truly amazing how using the right product does help. Besides smelling good, the car looks amazing. I was a little bummed when I snagged the drying towel on the emblem but other than that, very nice! I do think I will order another towel as it would be easier to dry the car with two.

My next investment is the complete D/A Car Polish Kit. I’m hoping to order this next week. Maybe the clay bar will be added to the kit this week as mentioned on Adam’s forum. This would seal the deal.

Careful Oscar, you're about to become addicted. It's a hard habit to break and your wallet will hate you for it! :)

RomRox 07-25-2010 11:59 PM

You think Tronchaser is kidding, but he's not! you'll notice every minor clear coat scratch and hate yourself for it!

wheee! 07-26-2010 07:58 AM

"Come to the Dark Side, Luke...."
It is well known and documented that this quote was referring to Darth Vaders penchant for detailing and polishing dark coloured cars and spacecraft. His intent of course was to get his son to join him in opening a Darth & Son Detailing shop..... ;)

QFT.. Before I got the Z, I never thought about clearcoat, or swirls, or anything like that, and always went through the automatic car wash.

Now.... Ohhhhh, I notice EVERY little scratch and swirl. Washing by hand is mandatory now. Almost like I'm a slave to the Z. :rofl2::rofl2:

LOL... its a gift and a curse for sure.

RomRox 07-26-2010 07:13 PM

Damn Adam's polishes! Hate it when ppl touch my car to "feel" the paint or wipe dust off cuz they think they're helping?

I wish they knew how long it takes to remove something like that. I really need to order the focus pads because the PC takes way too long to correct deeper clear coat scratches or scratches that are located in awkward positions due to the curve of the body panel, etc.

Tronchaser 07-26-2010 09:03 PM

Oh howdy, just got back in from dusting the Z off...

CURSES! I tell ya! CURSES for making want to wash/dust/look at the dang car every chance I get!

Oscar135 07-26-2010 09:48 PM

I'm already addicted! While at the dealer today, everyone was staring at the car. You have to love this!!! I hope to be placing my next order later this week. Next week I'm on vacation and plan to spend a day detailing.

Sadly, I think you might be right. I just got in an order or waterless wash from Adams today. HAD to try it out.. looks FANTASTIC! The pretty Oklahoma sunsets in the reflection of the hood are awesome.

Scott @ RA 07-28-2010 11:43 PM

Had a customer today that was speaking very highly of the Adams products....
he seemed sincere, so I might be giving some products a try.....

Josh@STILLEN 07-29-2010 12:06 AM

Adam's could not be more addicting.. scary kinda.. makes you look at the entire catalog to see what else they have.. and what it can do. And they always smell nice to boot.. you discount how much that would make a difference, but if you're spending time with your car busting *** on it.. kinda cool that they smell good.. :D

And Adam is a hell of a guy.. and a true auto enthusiast, genuine and a stand up guy.. both with the products he's developed, and just in general..

AdamsPolishes 07-29-2010 12:20 AM

Yea, and that Dylan guy -what a douche!! LOL

Hey Josh, we need another demo day there at the shop... long overdue!! Talked to Kyle briefly but that fool is all over the map so pinning him down for something isn't easy.

WarmAndSCSI 07-29-2010 12:41 AM

I really think our next purchase for the Z will be a PC detailing kit. I'm kind of convinced, plus it's a good deal.

But honest question: as a long-time Meguiar's user (of pretty much every consumer and professional product they make), would you consider Adam's equivalent or better? And by that, is it easier for me as a personal, at-home user to get the same results in less time and/or less effort?

If so, I'm sold. I really like the idea of a simplistic, yet comprehensive product line.

Honestly.. I think you just described Adam's business plan, based upon my conversations with him over the years, and his passions..

He has never discounted Meguiar's products, in fact tests them all, but found himself, a while ago.. unhappy with their results, and knew what he wanted out of a product.

That stemmed a desire to work with chemists and develop what he wanted.. and that spawned into a career/business doing what he was passionate about.

Definitely worth a try.. even if it's a detail spray, buttery wax and a microfiber towel.. it will leave you looking at the catalog.

Don't normally go out on a limb about someone or a company.. but happy to see Adam succeed and get into the 370Z market.. his stuff is good.

RomRox 07-29-2010 04:40 AM

Well, yes its faster if you plan on getting the same results as you would with your Meguires products (which I have also used!)... but you'll soon find wanting your paint to be absolutely perfect... because you can! lol You've been warned. :p

I have two questions about wax.....

1- Is Adams wax as good as Meguiars or other brands?? I have been using carnauba waxes in the past, but I am considering using a polymer wax first coat to get the extra shine I have been reading about.

2- Does Adams have a strictly polymer based wax? I know the buttery wax is polymer/carnauba mix. But I would like to get a straight polymer wax to use first.

Thats purely a subjective question so its hard to give a yes or no on opinions. Everyone is going to have a different perspective. Is it better than Megs OTC stuff... absolutely. Competitive with their professional products? I'd say YES, but obviously my opinion is going to be construed as biased. Some reasons to go with us:

110% money back guarantee - if you buy anything and aren't completely satisfied, contact us. We'll refund the purchase price + 10%. Buy with confidence!!

Our line is tailored to the DIY detailer or enthusiast detailer. We work very hard to make sure our line is user friendly and geared towards the enthusiast. We color code our products for ease of use, offer unmatched support, and accessibility to any of our team members. You can call or email me almost any time, even on weekends and I'm more than happy to walk you thru a process - as is the rest of our team.

We're constantly researching and updating... as any of our customers will testify: we are always looking to improve our line, unlike many other lines we never are satisfied with a product... technology and processes improve... as they do we update and pass that info onto our customers.

Performance - we're confident in our products that they're easy to use, but also highly effective. I spend tons of time doing demos and clinics in front of critical eyes and I have yet to have anyone not be impressed with what can be achieved with these products in the hands of even a complete novice.

2- Does Adams have a strictly polymer based wax? I know the buttery wax is polymer/carnauba mix. But I would like to get a straight polymer wax to use first.
We have 3 "wax" products:

Buttery is our basic liquid wax. Its a polymer carnuba blend. Easy on/easy off... can be used in direct sun light and offers average durability and looks. Still our most popular wax simply because its so easy to use.

Machine Superwax is our all polymer sealant product. Its super durable and has a very nice shine to it. Lacks depth (as most pure synthetics do) but thats the trade off for the durability. Its recommended this only be applied via machine simply b/c its so thick... its almost impossible to work larger areas with the stuff by hand and get an even application.

Americana is our premium stuff... made with the highest quality carnuba available and reinforced with some polymers for durability it has great depth and 2 thin coats of this will offer comparable durability to a single coat of the superwax product.

Hope that helps. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

LMBmikeZ 08-19-2010 07:22 PM

Thanks, I will definitely be stocking up asap, as my supplies are almost gone!
