I hate doing it, but almost daily I use a detail spray to soak them for a bit and clean accordingly. Eventually, once the season has died down, I would clay bar those areas to get those little streaks of Love Bug guts off.

I hate dealing with the residue painters tape leaves.

For my drive to ZDayZ I am using Griot's Garage plastic wrap (looks funky as hell) that I will cover with red tape to make it look better. It will peel right off once I get there. :)

I hate love bugs, those little bastards insides must be where they got the idea for super glue from :shakes head:

As much of a pain inthe butt as it seems, I try to use my wash sponge with the built in net everyday I takethe Z out...Just the front end, the windshield and the fronts of the rear view mirrors. Keep a good coat of wax on the front end. The season will dissapate. I'm more concerned with the rocks comng off the road. Here in FLA gravel trucks are everywhere.

A little off topic, but a good FYI...

If you've ever had badly corroded battery terminals, pour coca-cola over them and the corrosion washes away. No joke.

I've also heard a rumor that police officers keep Coke around to clean blood off of pavement. May be urban legend, though.

Pepsi vs Coke

Will Pepsi work as well as Coke?

Not sure I buy into the claim about coke eating nails and whatnot. Sure, it's acidic, but very low quantity. In fact, regular orange juice is much more acidic than soda if I remember high school chemistry correctly.

We all know you're older than me 6-strings, you don't have to bring it up in open forum.

lol, was actually referring to my wimpy, late adolescent (or more like early adulthood) foray into "party favors" :tiphat:

I've run into these horrible creatures a few times on our late summer trips to panama city. The best thing I can say to help with the cleaning of them is to make sure you have a good coat of wax or sealant down before going out. This will allow you to clean the surface much much easier. And if you don't let them bake on for days and days, they should wipe off with minimal effort with a normal wash mit. If they do get baked on, you can use some bug/tar remover and let it sit for a few minutes and if you do have a good coat of wax/sealant, they should come right off.
