Just Ordered Complete Zaino Detailer Kit

I've always used Meguiars for all my car cleaning/waxing/polish and over all detail. Ive seen great results from Zaino on the Z. Many people on this forum are using it so thats where my persuasion came in from you guys. Soon as i get it i plan on going to work and posting Pics.

This was my last detail using meguiars ( the link is my product thread) http://www.the370z.com/exterior-inte...-solution.html

azn370z 01-27-2010 11:04 PM

I've been using it since my last z, the car wash and z7 are great stuff. When it gets warmer I'm planning to clay my car.

I've tried Zaino as a professional detailer, I've actually came to conclusion they're very overpriced, the only thing I find Zaino useful for is the Z7 car wash shampoo, high lubricity and it smells good, other then that I use chemical guys, menzerna, and other better products out there to seal and wax your vehicle.

out of Chemical guys and menzerna what do you think is better?

StealthZ 01-28-2010 12:54 PM

menzerna polishes are awsome. Chem Guys got a lot of great products, I think everyone needs to have some from both.
Chemical Guys:
Citrus wash(my favorite for getting all LSP(waxes/sealents off)
wash and glass/clear
bare bones
fade 2 black

Menzerna:
Polishes are great like SIP, PO85RD to name a few
Full Metal Jacket is an awesome all around sealant. Great on lighter colors alone with out any wax, I use it on glass too. works better then rainX.

Kyle@STILLEN 01-28-2010 01:21 PM

Have you guys ever used Adam's? I have tried just about everything and I have found that Adam's is the easiest to use and offers the best shine. Zaino is good if you want to spend a huge amount of time and numerous steps but I'm a big fan of how easy the Adam's products are to apply and remove.

I have a lifted 2007 Tundra as my daily driver and I was able to wash, clay bar, polish, and wax the entire thing in just over three hours.

JakeZ34 01-28-2010 01:41 PM

Chemical guys have a lot of great products such as citrus wash and gloss, jetseal 109, synthetic quick detailer, E-Zyme wax, interior cleaner, pro-polish. The good thing about menzerna is their polishes, they cut through all kinds of surface defects such as deep scratches, swirls, and oxidation. Pro-polish from CG does minor scratches and swirls. If you want to detail your cars, you pretty much have to have some of each. I will post some pictures of my supplies.

and to Kyle, I have hung out with Paul from CG in person, from what I heard, they also manufacture Adam's Polishes product, Adam's polishes looks good but I have not yet tried it. I have wayyy too much detailing supplies that I have to knock some down first LOL.

I have used Zaino for 10 years and very happy with it.
My oldest car, 2002 MDX, is still looking shiny - people think it's only a couple years old.

I would put 3 coats of Zaino when the car is new to give the car a good thick coat of protection.
After that, just once a year will keep it shiny on every wash.

JakeZ34 01-28-2010 02:51 PM

heheh kenchen I do professional details on the side as a hobby.

Kyle@STILLEN 01-28-2010 04:38 PM

That is a very nice kit you have there Jake!

You might be interested in stopping by our Detailing clinic on February 27th. Obviously you know a lot about detailing but we are going to have the crew down from Adam's to give a clinic on how to properly wash and detail a car. You might find it interesting.

BLUESLATE 01-28-2010 05:28 PM

Damn... I wanted to attend it last time, but couldn't because of the stupid rain. As much as I want to attend your next one on the 27th, I won't be in OC because of the Wekfest in SF. Hopefully, you guys will have another one coming up soon enough.

Kyle@STILLEN 01-28-2010 06:58 PM

We will be having them monthly! Everyone is more than welcome to come down and check it out!

You should have come to our one on the 16th!!! NO rain, beautiful weather, and 50-60 people showed up!

STItoEVOX 01-28-2010 08:09 PM

holy crap i need a lesson on how to properly wash a gorgeous car from you guys. and a good setup for a starters kit. my car cleaning kit fits in 1 bucket haha! it'll help once i get rid of this car and pick up one i actually care about.

I've been using Zaino for 7 years and I to am very happy with it. I use it on both my Zs as well as my daily drivers. I use Zaino All In One on my daily drivers and Z-2/Z-5 on my Zs.

My 03 350Z looks like it's brand new after 7 years. I haven't used another wax or polish that lasts as long and provides such a great shine.

JakeZ34 01-28-2010 09:48 PM

Hey Kyle would you mind if I drop some business cards off too if I attend the 27th? I'd like to get my names out to the public more. Obviously if Stillen ever needs a detailer too you know I'd be down, Costa Mesa is about 15 min away from where I live.

Not a problem! You're welcome to come down and drop off some cards. We don't really have a detailer that I personally trust 100% to give recommendations so it would be nice to talk with you.

Hey definitely I would swing by and talk to you guys about detailing cars, I'd love to be able to detail that pristine GT-R of yours lol. Obviously I'm not going to push it but hey if you guys like what I do, I can even do some small demos for you guys. and see how you guys like it.

Kyle@STILLEN 01-30-2010 10:35 AM

You're welcome to detail the GT R! Just fly to Toronto! LOL. The car is on its way to the Toronto Auto Show right now and won't be coming home until the end of February. Just left yesterday actually.

JakeZ34 01-30-2010 12:56 PM

Lol oh wow. Yeah I'd love to swing by just to hang out. Talk more about modding my car too. Just let me know when it'd be a good time to come by. And I guess I'll have to wait til end of Feb to do the GT-R

cali-z 02-24-2010 12:51 AM

When and where is the demo?! I live in the OC and would like to attend. I could use a few pointers :)

Kyle@STILLEN 02-24-2010 12:15 PM

Just wanted to let anyone watching this thread know that we have had to postpone the detailing demo for this weekend. Unfortunately the detailer's from Adam's got called out to Colorado for the weekend.

I will post a new thread with the new date shortly.

BLUESLATE 02-24-2010 11:10 PM

That's cool! It's actually better this way since I'll be away to Wekfest this weekend. :D

JakeZ34 02-25-2010 10:27 PM

Still waiting for that beast GT-R to return....
But yeah Kyle please pm me the new date because I'd love to come down and hang with you guys.

Kyle, any chance you guys can make a webcast/video of that detail demo? It would be pretty awesome to see for the guys that dont live close to Stillenville, CA.

You and me both!!! It was scheduled to return home today but it got tied up in customs and that caused some delays. Big headaches!
