yah, 3M has them. but it can be a mess.. if u only need temporary, just use painter's tape. if u want semi permanent, get the real clearbra. i run xpel and 3M. both are just as good, Xpel ultimate has self curing properties though.

Hey ok ken i hear that on a mess. Most likely going to expel the hood first . We did layup work for the aircraft industry for years so shouldn't b a big deal doing the hood to start two guys with experience. The reason i posted this was there was a listing on craigslist offering spray -on clear bras as from a auto body shop offering plasti-dip services. plus my son is going to dip his race vette till time comes for custom paint

problem with aerosol cans is that they loose pressure pretty quick while spraying a larger area.. front bumper is considered a pretty large area to paint evenly with a rattle can.

if you have access to a roll to do the hood, dat should go much easier than getting those pre-cut kits. pre-cuts tend to be cut short for some reason and they tell you to stretch the bra while you apply. and if u're not careful it tends to leave stretch marks.. if you do it by the roll, no need to stretch and get full coverage...

They do have clear plasti but it doesn't look so great when sprayed onto regular clear coat. You can definitely tell, it looks like a messed up paint job.

You would be much better off getting Paint Protection Film (if you can afford it). Xpel Ultimate is the way to go in my opinion.

I post on a ton of forums and two guys tried this on their Gencoupes. One guy had his turn out like crap from the start. Another guy has his deteriorate into crap after awhile. I wouldn't try it on my car because of the fact that it comes out of an aerosol can. One of the key elements in automotive painting is how the air is mixed with the paint as it is being sprayed. An aerosol can is an abortion just waiting to happen.

Depends on what your purpose is.....

I have used various products over the years on my car to protect it from damage at the track. All of them look terrible, but I am only using it for a week or so of protection and then removing it.

I tried the 3M crap when it first came out. It is fairly easy to apply, but looks awful for several of the reasons mentioned above. I had sags, drips, etc.....and I even have some skill to apply it.

I would say if you want a temporary solution, this will work, but expect everyone that looks at your car up close will ask you what the hell happened to the paint.

I won't have to get close, but I will be looking at the car owner like this:
