Choosing a Great Towel for Drying Your Car

In this video, I discuss drying a car with the Pluffle waffle weave towel from The Rag Company. If you don't know anything about The Rag Company, be sure and watch this video.

The towel that I use in this video is not only affordable, it is very practical for watery situations. With the foundation of the towel being a waffle weave style towel, it is already absorbent. Incorporate some of the plush offered by the Eagle Blue Edgeless towel and you have combined a level of safety to coexist with all that absorbancy. Together, they are known as the "The Platinum Pluffle", a 16"x16" plush waffle weave towel that is excellent for drying your entire car.

There was always two things that bothered me about the giant drying towels that folks normally use and the first was how cumbersome they were to wring out. The second was keeping them folded once they were saturated with water. This problem is a non-issue with the Platinum Pluffle as you will see in the following video.

Enjoy!

Great video Junkman. I've been using a regular waffle weave towel for a while but this video inspired me to buy some Pluffles!

i prefer the leafblower,,but ur recomedation of the blue fluffy detail rags is good.

RonRizz 01-28-2016 05:30 AM

I'm sold. I use, and love many of griots products, and purchased one of their waffle weaves for $27.00. I could absorb more water with a cotton ball, and once it gets wet, I may as well be using a trash bag to wipe the car down. I'm getting a few of these today. Good lookin' out, as usual, Junkman.
ps: Just came off the website......$5 a towel.... I got 6.

I am a leafblower guy as well, but occasionally I will wash inside the garage (depending on weather, time of day, ect.) so a good quality drying towel is a must.

All of their drying towels are located here, including the one I used in this video. If you are talking about THAT towel, I never said it was from the Master Clean line.

I didn't even bother to watch the video. If Junkman created a thread recommending a product, that's all I need to hear :tiphat:

I mumbled something under my breath about her buying fresh ones every month, but didn't have the nerve to repeat it to her when she asked.... I politely said "just looking for on-sale products, that's all" lol
of course, I made the last 1/2 of this up. after the WTF part..:roflpuke2:

super fast delivery from the rag company! So if I got it right, we have the Autozone cheapies (for door jambs and rims only), the plush 420 mgs w/silk edging, the 480 w/silk edging, the eagle edgeless, the peach, the platinum pluffle, and the waffle weave. Sounds like characters from a skit on sesame street................
