Good choice! There's not many 370z's on the island. I'm sure you'll be loving that drive over the Malahat now. I'll keep my eye's peeled for ya :tup:

Same to you!:tiphat:
Any good stretches of twisty road up Nanaimo way besides the highway? I might want to take the scenic route one of these days.

I think THE best scenic stretch of road around here is taking the #4 highway from the west coast (just past Parksville), through Port Alberni to Tofino. The stretch from Port Alberni to Tofino is FULL of tight twisties and gorgeous scenery (lakes/mountain/old growth forests...etc). If you're lucky you'll even see a black bear or two. I saw one on the side of the road a few weeks ago on a surf trip :tup:

Holy crap, I didn't even know that route existed! I'll be checking that out this summer. Roads are all paved from Port Renfrew to Lake Cowichan? Looks like a cool trip :tup:

Motordyne E370 local for sale

Hello fellow Van members;

Thought would offer here first as prefer local.

I will be selling an almost new Motordyne E370 shockwave exhaust available 1st week of April. My car is in storage and I am waiting on a FI 18" to arrive end of March. Once it arrives I will swap it out.

I thought would offer now in hopes could make arrangements to do swap same day in April.

I bought off a local car who barely used it before swapped it out due to it not being ideal for his supercharged Z. It was essentially new when I got it. I installed it, but too loud for my taste. I only used it for about 3000km before storing my car for winter.

$1500 - this retails for $2000 USD which at current exchange rate is $2700 before shipping.

Thanks for looking.

Did many 2 week stints In Victoria for work a few years ago and when I got there the rental car I got was a Volvo S40. Not a sports car but fun nonetheless. On those trips I had the weekends to myself and discovered the loop. It is one of my top ten drives in memory and I've done Tail of the Dragon, The Devil's whip, Blue Ridge parkway from end to end, Kancamagus highway, Cabot Trail.... I can't believe that someone that lives on Vancouver Island would not know that road

Yeah well it is a pretty big island lol. I honestly didn't think the road from Port Renfrew to Lake Cowichan was paved. Google Maps makes it look so remote, and my dad reminisced about the old road being gravel. I'm sure that was like 100 years ago though lol. I've got the drive marked on my calendar for when I take the Z out of storage. Can't wait!!! :driving:

They chip sealed it about five years ago. Its good but its like a wash board near Lizard Lake - lowered cars beware! I'm running Swift springs on the 370Z and it does fine with the odd scrape on the front plastic lip below the air dam (depending on speed of course). Some of my other cars don't fare as well :)

There is a mind boggling number of roads on the Island that are outstanding. I get the guys local to the various areas who know where to go to take over when we get to their area of expertise :)
