Going to do the paperwork tonight...

... and pick her up tomorrow evening. Black on black 6 spd sport & navi - the anticipation is killing me. Will report back with pictures, stories, and a huge grin on my face.

Congrats dude! Same as mine! Any mods planned? Pickup a touch up pen when you're at the dealership. either $14.95 or $19.95 I can't remember. Trust me with our black you need it.

Congrats!!
That's what I have on order as well. My salesman told me that they couldn't locate any Blk w/sport and nav so that's why I'm waiting for a 2010. I guess some dealers don't want to do dealer trades on these.

I definitely lucked out - this one was actually headed to Winnipeg and my dealer (Burlington Nissan - awesome guys) was able to trade a Rogue and a Murano for it. Just picked her up this afternoon and I cannot wipe this smile off my face (too bad I had to go back to work :( ). @EVO_Killer - I may just go back and ask for that pen.

Unfortunately I've just noticed some orange peel on the passenger door next to the front fender along the top. Not impressed with that. Will go see the dealer tomorrow to see what can be done about it... I heard "ultra fine" sandpaper will be able to remove it? Don't know if I want to try that on my own.

Pics to come soon!

Can't wait to see them

There is orange peal on pretty much every new car - its normal. Maybe you are refering to something else?

Please don't tell me you are thinking about sanding the car right?

Oh and BTW congrats on your new ride! Read up on the two bucket method ;)

Its a couple hundred bucks but a good body shop can Color Sand the car and get rid of the orange peel. Once you do that, oh man...... The paint feels as smooth as silk, and reflects all sorts of light that you didnt know what there....

+1 for Color Sanding

Orange peal is under the clear coat. You don't want to sand the clear coat off. BTW WTF is color sanding?

I was confusing orange peel with 'bird poop that had eaten through the wax or clear coat'. The orange peel is all along the top panel of the doors - I can live with that, but the bird poop marks must go! And no, I was not actually going to sand her :) Will see what the dealership can do.

I am happy to report that I already follow the two bucket method!

Edit: @kdo2milger: I actually had a headache later on as I was grinning for so long, lol.

EVO_Killer 08-08-2009 12:51 PM

Thank you so much!!!:bowrofl:

Now I will remain the only Black Sport 370Z in Winnipeg. :happydance:

Are you going to be doing any mods?

What are you gonna call her?

Mhaddy 08-09-2009 07:35 AM

Mods - probably not, she's perfect just the way she is :). Her personality hasn't come through yet, so I don't have a name for her yet... will let you know! And no prob re making you the only black 370z in Winnipeg, glad I could help!

EVO_Killer 08-10-2009 08:18 AM

Can't wait for pics...

No mods???

I never thought I'd mod my first car but its very fun and addicting....

Lots of fun mods out there. Check out the Illuminated kick plates. They look sweet. When I took my car for her oil change 2 techs loved them so much they ordered them from the Z store right then and there.

Well it's more of a cash flow issue right now, the car wasn't cheap so I am going to relax on the spending side for just a bit. I've seen it referenced in a number of posts, but what is the Z Store?
