which body shop did you take it to?

I brought it to a shop near cambie and shell Rd in Richmond. Family knows the head tech there so I'm getting front bumper repainted and a bracket made for the lip for quite a steal. Damn the rock chips :/ can't remember the name exactly it's quite hidden. He said the girl with the white amuse came to get her front bumper fixed a while ago lol the one hyunsoo hates Hahaha. Apparently got in an accident and split her fiberglass bumper in half

Sorry to hear that man, that sucks indeed. As everyone else said, happy you didn't run over it. Sure it wasnt' a good feeling.

2 screws and 3m tape, depending on the lip might be enough but like you I wuld have preferred 2 more.

I installed my Carbon Fiber Side Blades myself and I think I used 8 Self Taping screws PER side lol. I sooner a shop overcompensate than cut corners.

Usually 2 screws and 3m tape would be enough, if the 3m tape was longer than the length of my palm and actually covered most of the lip :/ The shop lied and said that they couldn't fit more than 1 screw per side because the lip didn't fit the bumper properly. When I was reinstalling the lip myself, I was easily able to fit 2 bolts per side and I could have fit 5 or 6 per side if I wanted to.. There was so much space >_> Lol, can never be too careful :P

pfff 2 screws and 3m tape thats bs. My Evo-R lip that is much smaller than the one you have is held by 6 screws and 3M tape. It has the option of additional 2 screws as well, but i choose not to put those. So ye make sure that **** is screwed in and secured next time. 3M is good for emblems not aero components. Oh and honestly you could've installed it yourself for free. It really ins't rocket science to take off the bumper and screw in a bunch of holes in the right spots.

Op,

I think I saw you today..is the lip off now? On willingdon

I was worried about drilling into CF as it came with no holes. Turns out that wasn't a problem though because I ended up drilling a few holes the other day to mount it back on. Should have just done it myself from the beginning

If it was around 8pm that was me haha, going home towards North Burnaby. Lip has been fixed and remounted on my car already

Cafiax 02-28-2013 07:21 PM

is the damage evident even after fixing it?

.c2 02-28-2013 08:44 PM

If you ever put the car on the lift then the bottom of the lip looks scraped to all hell lol. On the car though, since my car is so low it's not really noticeable thankfully..

If you look really closely on the edge of the lip you can kind of see a little bit of the sanding/fiberglass work that's been done to it, because it extends just above the edge slightly. The rest though is on the bottom of the lip so you can't see it when it's on the car. The little bumps hanging off the lip are just water droplets, just washed my car in this picture
