It was a nice day to take it work yesterday. Got to clean out some carbon out of the exhaust.

Mitco39 01-10-2013 12:40 PM

Man I wish I should sneakdrive mine, lol. Way to much snow and ice up here to have any fun with it.

ShinyBlueZ 01-10-2013 03:34 PM

I'm so paranoid/afraid. no insurance. the one time I sneak it out.. someone will hit me.

maybe at like 4am...

but I snuck drive it yesterday and my freezing tires made scary loud thudding noises a couple times

LMBmikeZ 01-10-2013 09:41 PM

:shakes head: don't do it! Especially if you are not covered if something ever was to actually happen!

And the tires comment is 100% true even later in the driving season up here we get some pretty cool nights! I have had some late nights with the frost and the tires where no good at those temps!

vrfreak 01-10-2013 10:36 PM

Da.Menace 01-10-2013 11:50 PM

You just can't get enough of that snap the tranny gives you now :bowrofl:

6MT 01-11-2013 10:11 AM

I bet today (Friday), is an even better day in southern Ontario to snow plow with the Z.

Quick370z 01-11-2013 02:49 PM

totally not fair

today is -22 Edmonton pfffftt

Mitco39 01-11-2013 04:16 PM

Not so much the cold as it is the packed ice and snow on the roads. The main roads are not bad, but once you get off them your just asking to rip off the front bumper.

The reason why i wish i had my Evo up right now. That thing is amazing on snow and ice. Apparently its suppsoe to be 6* on tuesday with a chance of showers.

Spent too much time and effort detailing it before I stored it in my garage for the winter to take it out and get salt all over it. We are in for a few mild days coming up but that just means some melting snow will cover certain sections of the roads. That combined with the salted roads makes for a messy slurry. I'd like to but I can wait a few more months. I'm used to it having come from a motorcycle background.

It rained all day yesterday and will continue for 3 more days, good because. Hopefully some of that salt will be washed out !

TheGreatOne 01-17-2013 08:30 AM

Had a few nice dry days here, would have been nice to drive it if I had a winter set up. I told myself maybe next year I will plate it, winter rims/tires

But I know keeping her under wraps is probably for the best...

Last year I took it out right on March 15th (when the winter tire law is over) but holy crap, the mega pot holes I've been seeing and falling into with my beater...will wait till April 1 for sure as the city gets to fixing those things..

Z eliminator 01-19-2013 03:27 PM

It's 4.45 pm and the 370z is going out for a drive in burligton ont.

Z eliminator 01-30-2013 10:02 PM

Will be on the road on thursday with the Z

sinceday1 01-31-2013 07:07 AM

Ah..
Maybe I should get my car on the road too.. But a bit sketchy with the amount of salt they use here on the road in NS.

My baby's missing her headlights and her bumper is stuck @ the customs.. :(

Took it out today/ -10 C. car ran terrible till the oil hit 90 c. Then it ran like a beast.
it gave a service engine light as well . will have to look at that later. Went to the auto show and sat in a GTR. 2013, Nice car. But i like my 370 Z more. The new corvette looks great .

:tup:jelly

I am definitely at the peak of the winter blues for not having my Z on the road.

Z eliminator 02-22-2013 07:50 AM

Reset the service engine light. It was a misfire on the motor. Hard to belive but when its really cold out side the tranney has to warm up to temp before it starts to shift right.
Same for the engine at 70 c it ran terrible.
Total reversal from the summer time.
I wish the oil would stay at 80 to 85 in the summer time.
Can not wait for Cauaga to open!!!!!
