|
Been a while since I've seen one, but saw a Yellow on Leslie Southbound turning onto HWY 7 East at about 12:45 today (Tuesday). Was thinking Nooblet - only a few hundred feet from where I saw him last time....but no ball cap this time!! LOL!!
I was walking across the cross walk! |

I just saw a few minutes ago a silver ( or was it white? It was pretty dark out there) z waiting on a side street trying to turn onto mccowan a short distance north of 16th ave. Gave him a horn but not sure if he noticed me
|
Just saw 2 370z (white sport coupe, black sport roadster) at 407/bayview (wow wings)
|
Just saw a blue z a hwy 7 and warden at noon today. Was it you da menace ?
|
Saw a Silver 370z in Ancaster coming up Rousseaux Street around 1:40pm today.
I also saw a White 370z making a left off of Carlisle street onto Center Rd, towards Waterdown today at around 4pm. Very rare that I see two 370z's in one day in the Burlington/Hamilton area. |
Saw a black z going south on 404 near 401 around 6:30 am yesterday

With winter coming, spotting a 370Z is very rare now |
Saw a black z going south on 404 at steeles at 4:30 today. Not sure if he saw me or not, even though i honked. Good to see other Z's still cruising around and not hiding in heated garages.

370z sited on Bay St.
Saw a black convertible Z with brown softop heading northbound on Bay St. on Saturday December 11, 2010 at around 3pmish.

Like with any other car, regardless if it is FWD, RWD or AWD, you have to drive slowly and with care in the snow. As for the 370z, I don't think it will make a huge difference. So far, I can tell the difference between driving my 2005 RSX and 2010 370z in regards to the steering - the RSX has a harder steering may be due to it being FWD. I find that I have to hold on to the steering wheel on 370z more so that it does not bounce around on uneven pavement. But the acceleration with the paddle shifters on the 370z is fast, fast, fast !!! Cheers, TK:driving: |

At least I don't see anyone including myself getting stuck on a uphill with AWD, and see alot of RWD cars getting stuck... RWD, snow tires or not, its not getting you there as safe/quick as AWD. Of course I'm not promoting that you should drive fast in snow. |
Just saw a white z going west on hwy7 beside markville mall

but hey that could just be me, but we'll see who has a nice Z in 10....... 15 even 20 years from now! I know mine will be, can't say the same for those ppl driving their sports car in the winter.....man think about all that salt eating into your clear coat! :roflpuke2::roflpuke2::roflpuke2::roflpuke2: |

As for me, I have my Acura RSX to drive through a winter storm. I have done so several times before, slowly and with care, in my RSX. It is FWD and works well with the Michelin X-Ice. I would not undersestimate the quality of the vehicles being manufactured to last through wintery conditions these days. I am sure the big players have done their homework. I don't know how the winter is in Japan but I do think Nissan has carefully considered this vehicle being used in the winter. as well in other countries like Canada The same goes for the BMW. Mercedes and etc. in Europe. And these vehicles are also RWD except for the few models that are available in AWD. (My option was a 128i convertible BMW, 350C 4matic MB, GLK MB, or 370z; I surprisingly bought the 370z:tup:). Something to consider in the winter is touchless carwash twice a month to keep the salt off as much you can. I learned that when I was working in Thunder Bay for 7 months back in 2005. And I was driving my brand new RSX at the time. The winter is frigid harsh in Northern Ontario. Winter in Southern Ontario, particularly here in Toronto, is laughable compared to what I had seen in Thunder Bay. Over there, it is salt and sand mix together and spread on the road for snow melting and to create traction. |

accidents are at least twice as likely in the winter not to mention, it might not be your mistake that cause it! I also find that this lack of maintenance is also common in peoples self infliction........ by this I am saying that to many people don't even maintain there own body or house so why they would do it to their car?? EDIT: I was reading over this and realized I might offend some people, but hey to each there own right! :inoutroflpuke: F*CKING holidays and all the extra traffic has me PISSED right off. I just hate large groups of people! |
Lol and Mike has lost it

Well, in heavy snow, I will definitely be driving my RSX. In light snow, it would be either the RSX or Z. Afterall, what was the point of the buying the Blizzaks, right ? Are you in the London area, Mike ? Explains why you would want to park your Z for the winter season. Southwestern Ontario got pounded with snow over the last few weeks, unlike here in Toronto where there is very little snow on the roads and people are still complaining, LOL ! |
My biggest thing about parking my Z is the salt... It only cost me around $4,000 for my winter car. When I look at how much it would have cost for rims and winter tires I don't mind spending maybe an extra $2,000 on a car and knowing my Z will not see salt.
Also as Mike said I save about $50 a month on ins. but that is taken by having to pay for parking so that even's out... Edit: Another big bonus for me is right now I drive 100+ K's a day so I am able to spread that out between two cars and not overload my Z |
