Pretty sure its 2009 and early 2010.
Since I was one the 40th owners trying to get my production number, I saw that my Z was manuafactured February 2010, so I faily confident if you are in the first half of 2010, you have REV A or B I also got the letter and ended up having it switched out a few weeks ago just as I was going to pull the fuse. |
I had my recall done this week,
I still have the bypass harness I ordered last winter before recall so will probably put it on anyways, dont want to take any chances |
Well I was in the forum all last week trying to figure out my non start issue.well steering lock failure.who would have thought.got a recall for replacement about two months ago when car was stored.tried starting it no go .boy was I ever happy.four hour tow to dealer repairs a week later, going to pick it up on wed. I,m pulling the fuse as soon as I get home.not a fun time glad it was recalled, only cost me about four hundred bucks to fix. Gas to get it an eight hour drive return, food and basically a full day.recalled for free but extras a lot.still thankful back on the road.enjoy your zzzzzzzzz

Has this problem been experienced in 2012 or 2013 models in either Canada or the U.S.? Or did Nissan come up with a fix?

Went into the dealership last week and spoke to a service advisor. Showed him the SL recall notice as well as a notice I got in 2011 for the call waiting feature. Couldn't care less about that feature but figured I'd have it done since the car was going in anyway.
Booked an appointment for both recalls and said "please check that you have the SL part. I don't want to come in for the appointment and find out you don't have the part". (foreshadowing). He goes into the parts guys and comes back. "Yup we have it and I had them order another because we only have one". Go in for the appointment yesterday and dropped of the car. 5 hours later, buddy calls. "Your 370 is already, but unfortunately we need to rebook for the steering lock. He have to order the part". I almost lost it. Told him 'we' checked that you had the part when I booked the appointment over a week ago. He says he'll "double check" and get back to me. I'm sure he held the phone, waited 3 minutes and called me back to say no they don't have it. I go pick up the car and they can't find the paperwork or my key fob. Eventually, I get the key but not one person even bothers to apologize for wasting my time. Please Nissan, send me one of those annoying 'how was our service' e-mail surveys. And oh, please call me and leave a useless automated voice message too asking me to call the service manager if I'm not pleased with the total lack of service. /end rant. BTW - sorry for wasting your time reading this post - just needed to vent. |
That sux. My dealership ordered the part and booked appointment. Wife took her car in at 8 AM last Wednesday and waited. 45 minutes later she was on her way.

Every time I have gone there they are completely useless. I will drive across town from Kanata to hunt club if I am forced to go to the dealer which I rarely do anymore. Hunt club seems to be the lesser of two evils in Ottawa. We could really use a place like zspeed or z1 or some specialty place locally.

Maybe the lesser of four evils? Anyone have an input on 417 and Orleans dealers? I suspect nothing good will be reported.
Almost two weeks and nothing regarding rebooking an appointment. I'm pretty sure I'll be going to HC too. At least they are GTR certified (I think) and bigger so they probably see more than a couple 370's a years. |

:iagree: harness is all good! I have one to!
