Ester Oil Toronto

Anyone here know which dealership in Toronto carries Nissan Ester Oil (and how much)?

Also how much for the nissan oil filter and oil bolt crusher/gasket/washer?

Thanks in advance.

Might have to check Infinite dealership about the Ester Oil.

CAN-ZED 05-22-2009 08:16 AM

i think Woodchester in mississauga does...

Asked around, the dealership does have the Esther Oil and price at $15 + tax per litre/quart.

Awesome deal!!!!!!!!

I don't live in Canada, but I just got my oil changed today on my 370z. The dealership charged me $69.99 for the Nissan Ester Oil here in San Antonio, Texas. After the oil change the service rep came by to let me know that the car requires Nissan Ester Oil and this is all they will use for my 370z. I already knew this was the suggested oil to use, but it’s nice to know the dealership is looking after my car the way they should.

This is the same price I pay for my Trail Blazer SS which gets Mobil One Synthetic, not too bad. I heard some people saying the Nissan Ester Oil change can cost almost $100.00!

can get you motul ester 5w weight and 0w weight

6MT 07-13-2009 04:25 PM

Find a parts store and look for the following:

Amsoil 5W30 full synthetic (part number: ASLQTC) Approx. $9.50/litre
Altrom crush washer (part number PB147) Approx. $.95
Altrom Nissan oil filter (part number 361307) Approx. $5.95

You shouldn't need to replace the drain plug (bolt), unless you stripped it.
(All those prices are Canadian $$, and there should be more than a few parts retailers that can get you all three of the above items in the GTA)

FYI- both these shops have years of experience with VQ's..
If you go by APH, make sure to check out Ed's TT Built Block monster z33..
If you go by SS, make sure to check out Frank's AMUSED-OUT z33..

well, i had my oilchange done at the dealer today @ 2000kms, and i assumed they were going to put in nissan ester oil, but the mechanic poured in regular 5w30. I asked him about this and he said its fine for the break in period. I plan on changing the oil to motul 300v at 5000kms anyways.

6MT 07-14-2009 03:09 PM

Ouch!:shakes head:

My dealer told me that during the break in you should not use ester oil...

FricFrac 07-15-2009 01:50 AM

OK first off Dealers are idiots plain and simple. Its possible some of them aren't but they are going to be the exception to the rule. Doesn't the vehicle come with Ester oil from the factory?

I believe Nissan Ester oil comes with the 370z....

Agreed that some dealers aren't the brightest bulbs....

6MT 07-15-2009 09:32 AM

Strange... the car comes with this oil from the factory. Why would you not want it in the engine?

i thought this was odd too..... i think the mechanic thought i was going to flip out if i had to pay $18/L for an oilchange.....

CAN-ZED 07-15-2009 12:48 PM

i just scheduled my first oil change with dealer, quoted me $105.00, ouch!

Just curious, which dealer you plan to go to?

$105 for Nissan Ester Oil isn't bad.

CAN-ZED 07-15-2009 01:21 PM

woodchester in Mississauga, thats where i bought it...

6MT 07-15-2009 01:29 PM

I managed to "talk" my salesman into the first three oil changes for free. And, I'll be watching when they do it to make sure that they put in the proper oil!

Reality 07-15-2009 02:15 PM

I am surprised so many of you are taking your zed's to the dealership for basic maintenance..
With the price of an oil change from nissan, you may as well pick a tuner shop and go with some Motul or Amsoil.. at least they won't hurt the z..

I went to st.clair nissan one time and they scratched my Volks.. :shakes head:

6MT 07-15-2009 02:27 PM

I won't, but FREE is really cool. After the oil changes, it'll only be back to them for warranty work. (I work at an auto parts store with service bays attached.)

I use Motul great oil but the one you recommend is really only for racing applications and does not stay in spec for more than 5,000km. Whilst in spec it is great but not a street oil. Go for Motul 8100 series, still 100% synthetic and all ester.

desertzrat 10-23-2009 08:40 PM

Mobil 1 used it my Porsche and I iuse it it my Z...

Sibze 10-25-2009 11:47 AM
