West Coast Shipping Delay!!??

Hey guys,

Just got word that although my car has landed in North America, there are going to be shipping delays due to a strike by Vancouver port truckers. I have heard from the dealer that my car has been re-routed to Tacoma so that it doesn't have to be held at the port. However, this has not been confirmed. Does anyone have more information on this strike. I have heard that it has come to an end recently, but I'm not sure of what the backlog is looking like right now. I just hope that my car isn't sitting at that port collecting dust.

Also, if my car ended up in Tacoma, does anyone know what the approximate delivery time is for it to get to the east coast from that port?

Cheers! Thanks in advance for your responses.

Looks like they've got a habit of striking, then! They talked about striking in February also.

Port strike talk already hurting cargo

As far as ETA, the actual driving should be about a week. How long it takes to be offloaded and get through customs, I have no idea. I'd say a week or less.

I'm happy to say that the West Coast port strike is now over. So for anyone in Canada that has had concerns about this, don't worry. Just got word of this from my dealer and my car is finally on the railway and on its way after sitting at the port for a while.

I've been really curious about this too. My Z is delayed now 2 weeks already, starting to bother me. I did a quick google about this strike and read something about it could take as long as a month to get the port running back to normal. I was told by my dealer that my car supposedly has to go through Seattle, all the way to Chicago then to Toronto, then Edmonton and finally circle back to poor old Regina... I hope it gets here sooner than later! I already waited 3 months, I'm tired of waiting... "I assure you sir, your car is on its way, it'll be here any day now" 'Yeah? Well so is Christmas!'

That sucks bro. I've been waiting for 5 months though:mad: so don't feel so bad.

Mine is going to be here next week. But even when it comes, I've got to wait for some parts to be installed, tint, and caliper paint.
