WANTED: Confirmed Canadian Custom Exterior/Interior Order
 

Alright people. So some people have been posting rumours that you can custom order the 370z in Canada with any Exterior/Interior combination. I would love to see real proof of that. Anyone have an actual order placed with a Nissan Dealer with a colour combo other than the ones that the Bean Counters at Nissan HQ decided to limit us Canucks to? If yes, I would LOVE to see a scan of your invoice (of course please black out your personal info).

I too would love to see this. However I have a feeling your proof will be hard to find for this one reason:

When the dealer places the order, they do so by providing the product code/model code to Nissan. There is simply one product code for each exterior color.

I can see dealers taking a deposit from someone saying "yeah, we'll get the interior color you asked for", but are they willing to put this in writing on the bill of sale? I fear they could be reassuring customers for the sake of generating a sale, and then put the customer in the position of accepting the standard color combo or forfeiting their deposit. If the dealer didn't put this in writing on the bill of sale, they can hold your deposit!

I too would love a custom combination (white with persimmon orange)... and although my dealer is *trying* to get this for me, they also warned me plenty that it just may not be possible, and I might have to re-cover the interior myself. I've ordered the white anyways.

Have your sales person contact the regional manager if you want to custom order a specific colour....

He did. Still said no. Do you have an official special order in already FricFrac?

I'm just finishing off my new house and getting renters in my rentals and switching over from a construction mortgage. Once I have all that squared away I'll be putting in my custom order. Sales guy said it wouldn't be a problem and has already verified with the regional manager....

I don't trust any sales promises unless it's in writing. Until you've got a confirmed order with a custom color combo, I'll have to just consider what you're saying as rumor. (although you don't know how badly I want you to be right!)

I've already ordered a white one, with a request for the orange interior. The sales guy couldn't promise me anything; I guess we'll see around the end of April.
