how about a 370z club to book track days?

Am i the only one here frustrated by the lack of a club for the 370z in Ontario that would book exclusive trackdays for us like how porsche, honda, ferrari, and corvettes have their own clubs booking their own track days? I keep looking for track days here but most of the time the tracks are booked by other clubs :( How about we start one of our own? We can book tracks like Shannonville, Cayuga, Mosport, and Calabogie.

Shannonville = $650/hr for long track, minimum 2hrs booking. If 10 people goes, for let say 3 hrs then it'll cost around $200 per person.
Cayuga = $500/hr for full track, minimum 2 hrs booking. If 10 people goes, for let day 3 hrs then it'll cost around $150 per person
Mosport DDT = Forgot how much. I'll go ask my friend
Mosport full track = Impossible.. too expensive and too little people.

Are the other club track days not open to other makes? Usually the Porsche/Corvette clubs host a lot of track days because they are established and have lots of pull, but are not limited by make. You can tag along as long as you pay the fee.

Well the OP did say "370Z club", so I assumed its us only.

porsche club of america seems to require membership, based on what i can gather from their website. Not sure about others. Besides, a Z oriented club also offers the chance to mingle and compare notes about various mods and upgrades and how they hold up against each other, etc...

If we can get at least 10-15 people as a club to split the costs of renting the track, it would be great!

Yes you're right.. Porsche club does require a membership, by purchasing a Porsche, or a previous Porsche owner IIRC (Info from friend who's in Porsche club).

Its a pretty bad idea to join a track day hosted by a Porsche club lol. Not to mention that we'll get raped very badly haha...

As for the 370Z club hosting a track day, I think its very possible if we can manage to get 10+ people going. It'd be easier if we extend that to 350Z owners also.

does that mean we'll get the guys from my350z.com? :ugh2: But yeah, an overall z club or even nissan club is good, as long as no GT-Rs are allowed!

Just link up with a Corvette club. They are always willing to share. It helps bring down the costs for everyone.

Track day crowds tend to be very, very different than the typical owner you'll encounter on the street. Everyone is there for the same thing... they are just using a different tool to accomplish it.

Sure, why not? Just go my350z, start a thread, and gauge some interests ;)

I run with the Porsche club at Pacific Raceways. Really fun group of people and I find it ironic that someone with a 911 Turbo comes over and tells me how much they like my car……………….

What is really pretty fun is when someone without a ton of track experience owns a GT3, GT2, Turbo…etc and you get the best of them in the corners and pass because they cannot shake you……that is a great feeling

We need as many people as we can get!

IMO I say since we have smaller numbers in Ontario we go ANY NISSAN (yes even GTR)
Because as a club you can get more then just track time, you can arrange meets go to shows/fairs what ever kind of event going that allows Nissan enthusiast and or other car enthusiast (at the shows) to get out and do sh!t...............But for track I would say try to just get a GTA Nissan club, so yes ANY Nissan IMO. I know a few people with the Sentra SER spec V's the 02-05's i think not the new ones, any way and they rip! the one guy even has a Sentra SER Turbo now! It is legit to no shity parts done proper with a good build up from the inside out, he didn't just slap it in there it took a long time!

There is a forum I am already on but it has not a huge hit with lots of members or anything but I am sure we can try to use it and get more Nissan owners on board........
