Anyone running a Tomei CBE with a Tomei Y-pipe in the GTA?
 

Looking to get Tomei CBE with a Tomei Y-pipe. I'm vey well aware its crazy loud, I'm very decided on getting a Tomei. I really like the look and the sound of the single. Anyone have any experiences with run-ins with the police? Currently I'm running an AAM short-tails non-resonated. It sounds good, but it does leave a lot to be desired for the low end.

I did find another post from earlier last year, but that post went dead. I am just looking for yalls experiences with Tomei driving around in the GTA, or similar cities.

I have a tomei-catback with z1 3" stainless steel Y pipe, with cats.

The y pipe is the same width as the tomei Y but its not titanium so its a little deeper but pretty much the same sound.

You can cruise around town at 2-2.5krpm with no drone and its fairly quiet, at least to me it is. It only becomes obnoxious at around 4k+ rpms.

Did you end up getting the Tomei? How are you liking it?

I've had the TOMEIDAHH for just over 2 years now.

I've been pulled over twice in total, both within 2 months after getting it for about a year. 2 tickets each time: Unnecessary noise and improper muffler.

Maybe it was just bad timing... according to your video it was the 30th of the month. That means quotas have to be met or they won’t get their budget next month/year.

Bad timing, you literally didn't even go past 2.5k rpms. I haven't been pulled over for my exhaust yet but apparently i was speeding in a 50 going 70? (this was on may 1st 2020, i bet it was bad timing for me as well)
he ticket didn't register online within 15 days-a month so i guess it was written off so i didn't pay anything.
