it DID happen!! :icon17:

what's going on with your Z ..??

LMBmikeZ 07-05-2020 06:56 AM

blew it up last year on late season on my last track day. :driving:  totally worth it! made it out 3 times last year best driving season with any of my Z's to date!

I planned on having it done by now but many factors messing that up. My electrical business has been fairly busy now, May was 2 years already! Which is great no complaints, but I didn't have any time to get to it. I was planning to do it my self late winter early spring. I already tracked down a replacement motor and tranny.....then as we all know covid came around and f*cked everything all up. With things being totally upside down I had two things holding the repair back.

1 - I all the parts I was looking into a budgeting were in the states and boarders are closed and I was gonna drive down in pickup to get it all. Now if I get it in Canada price will almost double :ugh2:

2 - I didn't want to spend any money on "wants" as no one really knew what was to come. So up until recently I stopped looking for parts. I AM ON THE HUNT AGAIN NOW THOUGH!:happydance: :driving: hope the boarders open up soon so I can then go get them!

I recently cleaned out around the garage and have the Z up on jack stands this weekend so I can start taking it apart at least. Now I am wishing I had a lift in the garage though. All the vids and reviews say its super easy to just raise car once you unhook everything.......can be done with no lift just harder.

I've been out of car meets for some time now. I had a 2003 350Z back in the day and also a 240sx before then. I loved showing up to those weekly meets.

I would be willing to meet up with others when the weather gets better and I bring my Z out. Is anyone organizing any meets during spring/summer season usually? Are there any usual spots that people just show up on specific days? Anywhere in the GTA works for me really.

Last summer, there's a small group meet at Commerce Gate on Hwy-7 and Commerce Valley Dr W almost every week from 8ish to late night.

Will check with them for this year.

Good old commerce gate. I think there have been car meets there for decades now :icon17:
I can definitely make it after 8PM. I guess you can post it here on the forum whenever you find out.

Zyonara91 03-19-2022 08:58 PM

Season is almost here. Bumping this to the top.

alcheng 03-21-2022 03:13 PM

we actually had a small car meet at Commerce Gate last Thursday night, expecting they will have it quite often, maybe this Thursday too cos it's pretty warm.

Lith 03-21-2022 04:01 PM

you guys have your cars out already? I will probably take it out some time in early-mid April if the weather holds.

MotorvateDIY 03-21-2022 06:31 PM

Please, PLEASE let me know if you are meeting up!!!
I would love to test the mini-dash LCD gauges and if you are OK with me recording the car's CAN bus it would really help to develop/verify easy to install LCD gauges in a 370.

If you don't know what I am talking about, here is a video that explains it:
