2018 's Are Up On Nissan.ca!
Hi, I noticed the 2018's are up now. There is a new trim called the sport coupe for $33,998 that offers the Sport Touring look, and the Bose stereo. It also comes with sport brakes and "New" 19 inch Reys and Synchro rev matching for the 6 spd. I think this one might sell well as you get a lot of extra features for only $4000 over the base. You can also get the 7 spd auto with paddle shift as a stand alone option for those that want it. This has not been offered in Canada for quite some time unless you opted for the Sport Touring which was $15,000 over the base car. Compared to anything in the price range you actually get a few features, a nice exterior look, bigger brakes and rims plus that nice 332 horsepower 6 for under $34k Canadian. I think that is a good bargain imho. Sadly no new colours and no base version or auto version of the Nismo like our American cousins.

IMHO, those new wheels do not look nice nor do they suit the Z.

New Canadian member here with a new Z coupe as of June 13/17.
Nice to see a Nissan update. I have a 2018 Touring Sport Coupe, only because I had good trade in collateral. The TSC seems to be a rare bird in Ontario as I checked out most of the dealers & accidently stumbled across this one.My paint code is A34, Solid Red ,on the bill of sale, but Passion Red in the 2018 Nissan website.I prefer to call it Arrest Me Red or Resale Red. The 2018 info must be new as I didn't get a warranty manual or sales brochure from the dealer .Apparently they are still in print. No floormats either.Really? I was offered mats at $121 plus tax.Nissan.ca shows them at $195 plus tax. This will be my coast to coast retirement cruiser as my auto X days are well behind me. Been a few" upgrades" compared to my original 73 240Z.Enjoying the ride so far, but it's just turned 400 km as of last night.I didn't like the wheels at first but they'll grow on me.So, now we have 3 Zs on the street, mine, my neighbour's roadster & another neighbour who has a roadster but only drives it once or twice a year. Too bad. Retirement working out very well at this point! http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m...psvk1noydh.jpg http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m...psdzqculyk.jpg |
Blacked out headlights eh
|
I wish i had patience to wait for 2018 as mine is only 7 months old right now. I really like new headlights, akebono brakes, spoiler, and bose audio. This alone is a steal for additional 4k. i really don't care about srm or 19", and i prefer not to have them.

Airwilf, don't worry about the oem floor mats. Just get the weather tech floor liners. They are awesome. Check your local Kijiji, they usually pop up for sale.
|
I love the blacked out head lights! The original chrome head lights make the car THAT much more outdated in my opinion. I wonder if USDM will get that change as well.
The wheels...they remind me of the frs/86/brz wheels :/ +1 on floor liners |

I am not sold on the rims either but they will likely grow on me. Probably look decent with the Deep Blue Pearl or Black. Still 19's do fill in the gap nicer for sure. I wonder if the new standard GTR rims fit the 370. I think those would look sweet on the above mentioned darker colors.
|
For the price not bad, $4G more than mine with those extra features is worth it, although those wheels do look like they came from a FRS.
|
Definitely looks like the Frs rims
|
Definitely don't like the rims but my opinion :) also for those looking to buy now quite a few good clear out deals at quite a few dealers, 29k for a new 2017 base

I forgot to mention that that Sport Coupe version also comes with the LSD ....I realize I am being a geek but I think this model is pretty good value. I do not work for or have any family that works for Nissan either Lol.

Yellow and reds are rare!
So it gets the SRM 19s and the vlsd. Doesn't get the cool rays or seats. Not bad |
There will be a 50th anniversary one available soon, only color will be yellow with the sports package if I am not mistaken and price is rumoured to be around 30k.

Uh... good deal!
Passion Red looks literally candy sweet. Hope to see it in person one day. The new rims look good, but in combination with the Chicane Yellow I'd still prefer the old all dark ones. It just seems to be modern again to have some fancy chrome. The dark headlights though only look good on white cars or would work also on the yellow. Unless you are the Batman and you want an all black car. Still you'd need to darken the LED strip as well... (all above is only my opinion based on my taste :)) Quote:
I don't have space for any spare tire. Sub sits there. btw: did the Nismo always run Dunlops? |
6 Attachment(s)
A dealer in BC (West Coast Nissan) seems to have ordered a bunch. Here are some pics with the various colours. The rims look better in certain colours inmho. The last pic I don't think is the same dealer.

enjoy the new Z, and remember to drive it hard
|
Interesting. I might consider trading in my white '13 base for a yellow sport
EDIT: are the new wheels also rays? |
Count me as possible the only person who likes the new wheels. Suppose I'll find someone local when they come out here to trade with.

Finance and lease rates went up a whole percent. This car has been out for so long. Didn't think they would raise it.
|
I like how they embellish the trunk:
STORAGE FOR THE REAL WORLD The rear cargo area offers plenty of open space for the important things in life—like golf clubs. |
