Rims/tires for the Z?!

Looking to purchase some rims and tires for my 370z, any one know any good shops in the GTA are or Barrie? Looking to do some financing on the rims/tires i can't stand these stock rims anymore.

Let me know!

Did you have any personal experience there? and do they do financing

Order them from GET YOUR WHEELS, a vendor on here. Talk to Jason, he's very knowledgeable about these cars and will set you up real nice.

Thank you :)

Are you running the base model? I'm going to assume you don't have your car paid off yet. If you can't fork the cash for new rims (without financing) IMHO do not do it.

Yea base model I do have the money for it that's not the problem just nice to have say a 3 month no interests payment!

I would completely agree with this statement for US buyers, but the exchange rate and US to Canada shipping will kill that deal. Going through a Canadian shop will save at least (if not more) $200.

LMBmikeZ 07-22-2016 04:42 AM

I guess a question that should have been asked is what are you looking to put on your car z_nation?

Have you picked anything out yet? Style?

Have you considered sport wheels or Nismo wheels? one of the best bang for your buck IMO

however I love AG, Brixton, Strasse and many other custom wheel makers from North America but they are much more $$$ (3-4X)

or pay it all off in one go and not have to worry about a monthly ding. even if you finance over lets say 12 months you still are paying interest for 9. also I'd be careful of those because they may have a penalty for paying down the loan faster than the term.

the sport rays are amazing as they are forged, super strong, and super light. you will have to pay a lot more for something of better quality unless you're strictly going for looks.

GL with the search though!

speedstar (near mccowan hwy 7) can order parts but not sure on pricing and finance options. they are more of a shop than an actual tire store

tires n mags can also do rims and tires again not sure on financing (I do my tires here)

Some great advice here. Also, there's usually a fee for financing of any kind. It's usually based on the amount being financed. Personally and it's really just an opinion, I would never finance car parts of any kind especially if you have the cash in hand. Worst case I'd use a personal line of credit for a large purchase before using in house financing from a store.

To echo mishuko, the sport rays/nismo wheels are a rays product after all and would be an "upgrade" for most of the knock-off crap out there. If it's just looks then yeah buy whatever and it doesn't matter. Not trying to stir up another real vs fake debate.

I've gone to tires23 a few times now for work and volk wheels with different tire setups and have been very satisfied with them. Recently bought te37sl's from them and got a great deal on the rubber (hankook rs3). They're pretty good guys and carry work/volk/advan/enkei and most of the other popular options out there.

Yea i like the rays alot was a 10grand price difference for me to go for the "Enthusiast" package to the sport touring i believe its called. Only made sense for me to go with the base model.

Yea i checked it out and it actually comes to almost more then if you buy local... damn Canadian dollar

cooltoy 07-22-2016 06:12 PM

I bought mine when the dollar was better, and it was still cheaper for me to buy from Toronto. No Duty , cheaper shipping, exchange rate, etc..

But that is no knock on getyourwheels - great company, great people and after haggling the price was almost there.

:iagree: Same here man. I couldn't justify the initial ding of the extra 10k upfront

LMBmikeZ 08-23-2016 05:05 AM

price out quality rims, upgraded tires, LSD and bigger brakes

then opinion based the aesthetic touches are $$$ too (spoiler, wheel design and lip/trim pieces)

sport pack is well worth the money. IMO

Just wondering if i'll have any fitment issues with my new rims coming in tomorrow.
Currently: On sport rays.

New Rims coming in: 19 x 9.5 +22 & 19 x 10 +15

I'm lowered on SWIFTS and 20mm/25mm wheel spacers.

Thanks!

hello no you should be fine, maybe you'll rub depending on how aggressive the poke is and what kind of bumps youre hitting lol

jdsto 08-23-2016 04:40 PM

You probably won't need the spacers anymore. Should sit pretty flush. Unless you want poke.

Looks like I have the cash to start shopping for rims and tires for the Z I will be looking for a staggered set up something like 9.5 front and 10.5 rears. Any one have any suggestions or anyone selling them privately?
