Oil Change

Does the dealer change your Oil? How much do you pay?
What oil do you use? Nissan Ester?

I talked to a few dealers this week and the pricing is varying between $100-$200 for an oil change.

For < $50 you can do your own synthetic oil change including filter. Do a forum search, there's probably dozens of other threads like this.

I use pennzoil ultra 5w30.

I am a lazy man. I was looking for a recommendation for a GTA dealer.

its around 40-50 bucks for Motul.
its around 20-30 bucks to have it changed for you.
call victor at unique workshop or james at carhouse.
tell them Jon sent you.

$90. Nissan ester for winter storage.

In winter I buy synthetic at Canadian Tyre on sale and bring it to dealership for them to put it in for the summer.

I was told, Costco does synthetic oil change for $50. That includes filter as well. Anyone tried that?

Cheaper Motul @ 40 to 50. Can't be the 300V.

I corrected your spelling. If you have that kind of money to blow, I'll be in the GTA for Xmas and if you need another oil change by then, I can do it for $99. That should cover my costs and some Xmas cheer.

Anyway, an oil change should only cost about $40 with filter using synthetic if you do it yourself. It's not hard to do and with the money your saving, you can buy ramps or a floor jack and jack stands that will let you do oil changes for as long as you live.

I buy Nissan ester and do it myself.

Since I bought my car I only use eneos and very happy with it. Not many shops stock it but very good oil.
