Official Canadian Pricing Thread

Greetings all,

I know I'm new to this forum but I thought I'd start a thread so that us Canucks can list the prices we are getting quoted from dealerships. This way we can see the trends on how agressive dealers are being on pricing. There is another thread in the "Pricing" forum but those are just speculative. I'm looking for actual deals that were negotiated at a dealership.

Take care,

Gordon

Has anyone heard from any of the Canadian dealers yet? I'm assuming we should start hearing once the car hits the Montreal show....

Ya when I take my G in for the HFC and exhaust install I am going to see what the deal is. We should know something.

What HFC and exhaust did you finially settle on?
How much is your install going to cost?
Will the HFC's cause a "check engine light"?

Went with Fast Intentions HFC's and Exhaust. I got the install for free from the dealer it was a negotiating point in the buy.

NOw As for the CEL light.

On my 08 I had Berks and got a cel on the driver side bank.
NOw there are non-foulers out there and they work some of the time. As well some guys have not had an issue at all with CEL's

I will tell you Fast Intentions (Tony) is working on a sure cure that willl fix all HFC related CEL but he is not done yet and asked me to say no more. I will not post his website up here as he is not a sponsor here yet. But google is your friend. I have heard this exhaust on the 350Z in person and it kicks a$$. I whent with the non- polished stainless stell with Carbon fiber exhaust. Total cost shipped to alberta was 2100 CAD.

If you want shot me a PM with your number. A few other G owners and I are getting tiogether at Hudsons after my instlll for some beers and a listen to the new exhaust.

My HFC on the 08 cost 200 for ther install and they are a PITA to get at I would think the same would hold true for the Z as well

I know you have heard the exhaust before because it was my 350Z roadster that had it installed. Figure out who I am yet? :rofl2:

If your interested, I do have a solution for the dreaded catalytic converter CEL

I'm really curious on which place is doing the install for free ...PM me

I installed my own Fast Intention HFC's and I found it to be painless with long 1/2" drive extensions and a long torque wrench. Once the nuts/bolts were loosened, it was impact wrench the rest of the way. The hardest part was the reinstall and keeping the ring gasket centered. Help from a friend made the reinstall easier.

I called the local Nissan dealership to see if there was any info since the Montreal Show is in less than two weeks. Just the usual dealership BS including Nissan won't be selling the 370Z until they get rid of their 350Z stock and a bunch of other sales person BS....

I did talk to a local dealership here in Edmonton, and he was willing to allow me to place a deposit for $3000 over MSRP. :rofl2:

The sales person wasn't impressed with my answer. I offered to place a deposit at $100 over invoice and after we both stopped laughing, we agreed that perhaps we both should wait.

Expect the prices to be on line by the end of January.

Pylon 01-06-2009 12:44 PM

I wonder if that salesman would have taken you seriously if you said something like $1500 above invoice for a cash purchase.

shumby 01-06-2009 04:18 PM

lol no radar decetor here I had to slow down lol

FricFrac 01-06-2009 11:25 PM

Unfortunatly (or not???) our economy isn't as cruddy as it is in Ontario, etc so I think the dealerships will try and get above MSRP. They can go get stuffed as far as I'm concerned. I'll just take my money elsewhere.... I have to wait till I'm done building my other house and see where I end up finacially and get the renters in my rental units so I'm probably not going to be able to buy until April/May... I'll be forced to wait till the dust settles :|

Probably could have but why show your hand early in the negotiation game? I'd rather wait till some inventory is in the dealers lot and see how close of a price to invoice, I can get.
