From looking at Dustin's pics, it looks like it is in addition to the other brace. Soon as I get them in, I'll post any difference between stock 370z and the Nismo. Mostly we are looking to see if it interfers with the damper mount up front.

Dustin@Z1 and dcrew1x. I am putting the pieces together and the way you have the end piece on the rear brace doesn't jive with the instructions.It appears that the solid wrap around angle goes toward the outside. Am I missing something? I am refering to diagram 2 and 3 on the instructions.

On a side note FYI:

Today I went ahead and installed the Interior Nismo brace (black brace with red mounts). You definitely do NOT need to take apart both sides of your trunk trim pieces. Just need to take apart one side which will give you room to take out the foam piece and put in your brace.

I plan on installing the front brace (the one in front of the radiator) probably tomorrow if weather permits.

How long did the install take? And any impressions yet?

I've only had a chance to install one of the three braces. (the interior one) Probably took about 30 minutes. Would have been shorter if I didn't bother taking apart both sides of interior trim. It was a tight squeeze to get some of the bolts tied down using some acrobatic skills lol which also took up some time. Aside from the time factor, the install was easy.

Didn't really drive around. I plan on installing the other 2 before I give any impressions/feedback.

Just got home from LSU football game. Thanks for the info on the interior brace. I am going to try to put all the pieces in today. I'll take some pics of the part I was talking about. It's the rear underneath and probably doesn't make that much difference.:tiphat:

Ok So I installed the front Nismo brace bar (the one in front of the radiator).

Tools needed: socket wrench, extension, 10mm and 12mm socket adapter

If you have the gen3 intakes, there is like no way to install this w/out taking out the front bumper.

No big deal. Took bumper off. You do not have to remove the intakes. I suggest one side of the brace bracket be loose to give you some slack as you line up the holes to the frame of the car on each end.

Like Dustin says, you do remove the 2 black original frame pieces.

Remove the clip holding the lines or just remove the clip like i did. You're gonna have to zip tie or electrical tape those lines to the brace bar itself to keep them from moving around.

Overall installation was pretty easy. Mine took way longer than needed because I didn't have decent tools. An extension for your socket wrench is your best friend for this install; too bad I didn't have one :mad:

Ok insert one end of the Nismo brace behind the big aluminum bar that supports the foam bar and align to one end, then align the other end. Once you have the brace lined up, go ahead and tighten the bolts to the frame. Once that's done, tighten down the loose brace bracket and you're set.

From here secure the now loose lines with zip ties or something like I mentioned above and reinstall all components: foam bar and front bumper.

I'll probably tackle the last Nismo brace underneath the vehicle when I have access to a lift. Maybe next weekend.

Nice write up. Now for the differences with the Nismo model. Everything is the same except for the nismo has a sheetmetal air guide because the nose is longer. This has to be cut to fit the front bar, also the electrical connections are attached the this sheet metal guide instead of the "rams horns". Have not cut mine yet because dremel tool is at work.

I notice you have an oil cooler. Hope that doesn't make it difficult to get the bar through. I brought the bar from the bottom up behind the brace bar and I don't have an oil cooler. The PS cooler is pretty small so it's not really an issue.

On another note, I haven't got around to installing the rear brace underneath yet because of my hectic schedule and also I'm waiting on my Stillen CBE to arrive to install that at the same time.

As for now, with 2/3 braces installed, there seems to be less roll when turning corners. Currently I work at a big airfield and I put up some cones for fun. Good times :p

Now if only some vendor would carry the Nismo lateral stabilizers/dampers already..

I agree, would like to see the lateral stabilizers come out too.

Dcrew, even though only 2/3 is installed, would you say it's worth the money?
