Alignement (camber) after lowered
 
Just a general question regarding alignment after lowering. Can it be aligned within the spec (f & r camber) after lowering about an inch with springs like Swift?

You should do a search on this as there are numerous threads and discussion but be that as it may....you may need toe bolts and or camber arms for the rear and be good to go in the front!

Some people can get the original alignment without a camber kit after installing springs, but most need rear camber kits -- and given the cost of performance tires, it's probably a good idea anyway.

I suppose the inner rear tires would wear out more without the camber kit?

you will most likely need the rear camber arms and possibly toe bolts depending on how much you need to adjust. there is only a bit of rear toe adjustment with the factory bolts. I have the front camber arms on mine as well.

I suppose both the front and rear can't be adjusted within the factory spec once it is lowered. Usually the camber is problematic with a huge drop (2 in), but I am surprise to hear that the toe (f&r) is also problematic.

I personally thought I won't need camber kit after installing eibachs. Best camber they could do was -3 in the rear... big mistake not getting the camber kit first time. I had to get alignment twice

Get the camber kit at the same time.

You'll need 3 things:
-SPL or SPC(cheaper) camber arms
-Camber lockout bolts
-Toe bolts

Lowered on Swift springs, rear is perfect, front needs another 1 degree of negative camber, my fronts wear in the outside, next upgrade will be Kinetic Front camber arms, rear is staying as is for now

Fronts wear on the outside? That's odd with the springs. I don't see how you ended up with less camber.

I read that the drop with the Swift springs is very mild and might be able to get close to the oem specs.

I suspect your front outside tire wear maybe related to too much toe-in.

No you cant get back to OEM specs get camber kits cheaper than buying new tires!

Why is this still a question? If you lower the car at all, there's about a 99% chance you'll need camber arms and toe bolts.

I just ordered swift springs and SPL camber arms but skipped the toe bolts because I dont like the idea of grinding my subframe and ive also heard that most alignment techs should be able to get it within spec as long as you have the camber arms.

The most important is your toe adjustment you can ride with a -2.7 camber in the rear as long your toe is close to zero tire wear would be minimal.

But if your toe is way out or in even within a spec camber number your ride would still eat up your tires and runs horrible.

So you just missed the most important piece of the puzzle. There is a reason why this comes with the kit. Like salt and pepper! They go together.

^ to add to the above and summarize an important concept for OP, toe and camber change simultaneously.

I've seen a new pair of tires getting chewed up in less than 2 weeks of normal driving due to toe being off, no exaggeration. Best of luck on the stock bolt, it'll be great if that gets you back within stock spec

Ill have get it on the rack and find out I guess, luckily the place that will be aligning it stocks them. Otherwise I will just order them before spring, the car is in storage until may :(

Btw mine did not need any grinding of the subframe.
And Im running on coilovers.

So you would suggest the camber bolt kit but skip the grinding?
