New rotors and pads making noise

I recently had some new EBC red stuff brake pads and duralast rotors put on the ride. The pads seem to make noise when coming up to a red light at low speeds. Also, when I let off the brake from a stop it sounds like a grinding noise with squeal with no pressure applied to the brakes. I don't think the shop put on new brake hardware kits on any of the pads and when I took a look, the retaining clips look bent. Could this be the issue on all the noise or is it something else? The clips look like these

Have you bedded your new brakes?

I called EBC and they say that after 1000 miles I can bed them. They did say that the noise with no brakes being applied is not normal.

Give it time when the surface of the pad and rotors bed in together.

Do you still think I need to order new hardware though?

Nope, I have reused the original pad hardware and I am on my 7th or 8th set of pads (car gets tracked a lot).

You have to watch as to how much you put on, and where.

Better stuff. ;)
