Camber problems
I bought my Z about a year ago, and it came with rims tires and swift springs. Love the way it sits and the tires were good (mich pilot supersports) but are now showing threads on the inside, while the outside looks fine. So I'm looking to get rid of all the negative camber (I'm guessing like 4*). Will this be all I need? https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart...on.php?II=3899
Also I haven't done more than just springs on a suspension before, so is there anything I should know about the install? Thanks in advance |
Adjustable camber arms/Upper control arms is a good investment especially if you ever decide to go with a coilover system. Having the ability to fine tune your suspension to the mm will never be a bad thing.
There are a bunch of companies out there that offer the same products as the one that you posted, so read around and check out some reviews before you just make a decision based on price alone |
Cool, that should be everything I need though? And is it something I could easily do myself and then have a shop do my allignment? I put my supercharger kit on myself I've just never done anything suspension wise before and I can't find any DIY threads

You will need rear toe bolts to get the toe adjustment back into spec. The toe out you have is what hurts your tires more than the camber.

Could the traction arms in the link I posted adjust toe instead? I only ask cause on the eccentric bolts it says "not recommended for high performance use because eccentric bolts are prone to slipping."
|
Also are camber/traction arms overkill for a 1" drop? I'm mostly just concerned about tire life, does anyone with swift springs get by with stock adjustability?
|
The camber links adjust most the camber but most of the toe is controlled by the mid link (spring perch). The problem is that when lowering the car you toe goes positive and there isn't enough range in the stock toe adjustment bolt to get it back into spec.

So front and rear camber arms, rear traction arms and rear toe bolts?

Oh I see, so with a similar drop I may get away with just toe bolts and nothing else?

I needed camber arms and toe bolts with Eibachs, and that's about the most mild drop you can get. |
Dang, okay. I just wanna make sure I get what I need all at once and then I can make one trip to the tire shop and get an allignment
