Brake bleed order?
 

I looked in the owners manual and could not find the order that the brakes are suppose to be bled in. Anyone know? I assume start with farthest from brake fluid tank and work towards it, but my last car was not like that so I thought I would make sure.

I don't think it matters if you start on the front or the rear as long as you bleed each set completely making sure you keep the reservoir toped off don't keep the handbrake engaged when the rears are being bleed block off the front wheels when bleeding the rears and vice-versa.

I have to say, you should go to your dealer for this. Not saying you probably can not do it. Just saying with all the new stuff and the abs system. I think I would feel much safer if I went to the dealer for it.

I always do rt rear, lt rear, rt front, lt front. Even on the vette which specifies a slighlty different, it still works.

i can get you the brake bleeding order when i go to work today

here's my sequence:

RR-LF-LR-RF (inner caliper, then outer)

I use a Motive bleeder and a replenish bottle.

(not the ones that you put pressure on the brake fluid bottle...i use the one that suctions out from the caliper)

Furthest from the master to the closest is the generally specified order..
Some cars may specify a different sequence...See the service manual..

RR/LR/RF/LF

Update: Manual says: rear right brake → front left brake → rear left brake → and front right brake in
order.

yep... i tend to read the manual. ;)

and it helps cause my G35C has the brembo's and it's the same 4piston front 2 piston rear setup as my Z.

Either way above will work. It doesn't really matter, the left rear and right front are tied together and the left front and right rear in another circuit, so either way still gets the furthest one in its circuit done first.

I like to bleed the outer side before the inner myself, since its farther, but I don't think that really matters either.

yah, especially with the abs you're not going to drain all of it out anyway, right? i too agree just do it in a reasonable order. :)
