If you change the rear, it will mess with the toe up front. Funny how that is but it has been that way forever. Well, ever since 4 wheel alignments. Guess I am getting old.

I asked the tech guy that before too since it didn't make much since to me either.. But who knows maybe it doesn't affect it.

I'm always in the pit with the guy giving them tips on how to adjust things, I can't remember if the front changed after they adjusted the rear or not though

I did that on my last car and used it quite frequently. Well worth the money. If there was one around where i live now then i would pruchase it, but the closest firestone is an hour away.

Front toe changes due to the thrust angle change by adjusting the rear. Its not that the actual tie rods or suspension angles change in the front, but the rear changes how the whole vehicle tracks. So the front has to be adjusted to be in the same "center point" so to speak.
