Base Shocks
Now that's good input. Especially about being stable on uneven pavement and bumps. With this stiffer "sports package", I too felt like it would be easier to loose control after hitting some rough spots and bouncing, compared to the base suspension on my precious Z.

Nissan updated the dampening on the shocks for the newer z's. the part numbers on the dampers are the same and doesn't distinguish between base or sports, so i'm assuming they are exactly the same. if someone wants to spend time researching, go ahead. just did 3 min of searching the Nissan parts site.
"The new shocks' dampening characteristics have changed to simultaneously improve the ride comfort as well as the stability on rough roads and at high-speed/when driving sporty. They are suppose to react more quickly to driver input." I liked them when I drove a newer Z. If you're interested, I have a full set of OEM shocks/springs ready to ship if you want to change things up. |
